Not Right Tool as Recommended
This was recommended to assist with cleaning hard to reach areas for my Cat Water Fountain. It has a foam sponge at the end with bottle brush bristles along the neck. However, it doesn’t fit down the spout because of the bulbous sponge at the end. This is a first, getting an item recommended to buy along with a product that didn’t fit. I’ll keep it for other uses but don’t get it for cleaning your cat water fountain.

Works for more things than just cat fountain
This has two sizes of bristles. The obvious bistles on the wand and a second smaller bristle wand at the end of the handle. The white handle "cap" unscrews and is the small bristle wand. It all works okay to clean general dirt - my cat likes to paw in the water and leave traces of dirt; however, if you have hard water like me, the bristles do little to clear lime/calcium buildup in the fountain bowl. My fountain bowl is plastic and it is hard to scrape or scrub away lime buildup on plastic without scratching the plastic which makes the next cleaning that much harder. The only thing to do is scrub the fountain once a week and thereby avoid buildup, in which case the brushes work well

The three part compact Pet Fountain Cleaning Kit is AAA!
I purchased this fountain cleaning kit to clean the Pioneer Pet Steel Fountain Raindrop Design. I love this brush. It has three components: the larger brush about two inch thick, the blue sponge and a smaller brush about .375 inch thick attached to the handle of the brush on the other end which is white. I like the fact that all three components are on one handle so they will not be lost amongst the other cleaning kits. The larger brush can easily get rid of the water grimes and residues from the fountain and the smaller brush can easily fit in the smaller holes. The blue sponge can gently remove any other stains without scratching the stainless steel fountain. There are several holes in the container where the fountain motor is housed within the water fountain. You can easily reach/clean these smaller holes with the small brush. Once you are done washing and drying your brushes, the smaller brush can be inserted to the end of the brush handle. I prefer to have designated cleaning kits for cat supplies and bird feeders and always disinfecting the sink area to prevent potential bacteria growth or cross contamination with other kitchen cleaning kits. I would highly recommend this brush since it would help you keep your Pet Fountain for many years.

Not a good size to clean inside the motor.
I was skeptical of these brushes as when I saved them in my cart they were $3.99. The next day they were $9.99!. I waited and sure enough one day they had dropped down to $3.99. I ordered two sets. Today I used them for the first and last time. I will be tossing them out. I was very disatisfied especially since they come from the manufacturer of the Pioneer Pet Fountain. I was expecting the small brush to clean the motor they put in their fountains. I have purchased a number of Pioneer pet fountains over the years transitioning from the plastic to stainless steel and then 2 1/2 years ago to the ceramic (my and my cats favorite). I clean the fountain and replace the filter every two weeks. I take the motor apart and clean inside of it each time. The large brush with the sponge I do not use at all. It is the small brush I was seeking. It is very short with only a 2" handle which I find very awkward when trying to hold it and the tiny motor. Most importantly there are no bristles for the first 3/8" and what bristles are there are too large to get in the knooks and crannies of the motor. The 3/8" shaft prevents the bristles to reach the inside of the motor. For the past several years I have been using a set of three brushes that are great. They have the large brush which I don't use. They have a medium brush which is the same diameter as the small brush in this set which is good for cleaning out the larger areas of the pet fountain. Then the smallest brush is smaller in diameter with thick bristles beginning at the tip of the brush that clean the motor inside and out superbly. I went back and checked and found this three piece set by Drinkwell is available on amazon.com for $8.44. I only wish I had reordered that set instead of this one.

Falls apart easily.. BUT!!
This works GREAT! BUT!!! After only one use.. the sponge tip came out right away.. also, a lot of the bristles came out too.. things I love- the sponge tip worked GREAT!! To get in the nooks and crannies of the pioneer water fountain.. (until it broke) I also really love how it has another smaller bristle brush in the handle.. it works GREAT!! … so, it’s a weird mix review.. it needs better quality.. and 10$ for something that breaks the first time I use it is a waste.. but the idea is there..
