Good but also not good
We have had this bowl for over a year now and it has been both good and bad. The good is that the water flows pretty well and the water pump is pretty quiet. And it is pretty easy to clean. You do need to stay on top of cleaning because the biofilm will build up and it can be nasty to clean. We have 3 cats that use this bowl and as you can imagine, the maintenance can be a lot. The bad is you have to constantly keep filling the water up. We use a plant waterer to fill up the bowl by pouring it into the water return. Unfortunately, the max line is inside the bowl and you have to take the lid off to see where it is at so you don't go over the line and over flow it. The only wishes I have for this bowl is that there was a window to see the water level and there was a larger bowl option. I will mention I did have to replace the water pump after about 6 months. One day the pump just stopped working. And the lid can sometimes be a pain to get back on.

Sometimes leaks water everywhere.
My cat likes it, but sometimes it will just decide to somehow pump the water out of the dish. I haven't been able to figure out where it's leaking from, only thing I can think of is the rubber plug where the wire goes into the tank. It only happens when the pump is running. I thought it was maybe the dish was unlevel but I also put the dish on a hard surface to make sure it's level.

My dogs are drinking a lot more water now!
I have two dogs, one senior and one younger. The senior is always a bit dehydrated because he won’t drink much, and he just got put on heart meds that act as a diuretic. So I wanted to do something to help encourage him to drink more. My vet suggested a filtered dish, as apparently animals prefer moving water to stagnant water. So there are actually two options for this water dish... the butterfly one, and the one with a taller waterfall sort of effect. I’ve bought both!! I got the waterfall one first, thinking my two chihuahuas would like that. It works perfectly fine, and would probably be great for a larger or even medium sized dog. But my two are tiny, and the larger waterfall I think put them off. They would barely go near it, and the few times they did try to get a drink, I could see them flinching back and squinting because they were getting splashed in the face. It’s a little louder, too. Not bad for me, but I think for their little ears right down next to it, it may have been too much. I’m going to give it to my parents, because they have a pet bird and I’ve seen others say that it’s great for bird showers. So I went ahead and bought the butterfly one to try. And they love it! It’s much quieter, and the little streams that come out of the butterfly are smaller and have a shorter distance to fall, so they aren’t so splashy. It was easy to put together, and it came with the info on replacement filters, so I can easily find them when I need to change it. But I am just amazed at how much more my dogs are drinking! It holds quite a bit of water, but after a few days I noticed there was barely any water coming out of the butterfly. I lifted the top, thinking there was a clog or something. Nope! It was nearly empty! I couldn’t believe it. I’ll just have to make sure to refill it every couple of days. I’m so happy they are drinking more. Everyone needs to be well hydrated!

Siamese has new bff & tabby refuses...
I will try to get a photo to attach - only had it 2 days and my Siamese has stopped at it like a camel filling up at least four times already which is already bringing me some reprieve from the stresses I had been facing with her health issues.... My other cat not such a fan yet but we shall see

My cats love it!
Product came on time and arrived in perfect condition. This is the first time I have purchased a device like this for a pet. The plastic was sturdy and good quality. The assembly instructions were easy to follow but remember to remove plastic film from charcoal filter and rinse filter under running water to remove loose carbon. The reservoir holds a lot of water so it does not need to be refilled constantly but I like to clean and change water every few days. You can attach the palm tree to the bowl or leave it off and the water just bubbles out. I chose to connect the tree since the cats really love to watch the water flow over the top of tree and trickle back into the bowl. This does create a pleasant water flow sound which doesn't seem to bother the cats. Actually, the cats prefer to drink the water as it trickles off the tree instead of licking the bowl. This DOES have parts that need to be cleaned or replaced eventually which will add to the cost including replacing the filter and charcoal. It also has a small 12V pump which should never be run dry. The fountain does give you some warning when tank is getting empty by making some noise to warn you. Will need to see how durable the pump is. In addition, the bowl needs to be free of debris like cat food or litter since a clog can block the pump or block the overflow slot in back of bowl which could cause overflow.

Not bad but not great either.
Two major flaws on this one. 1. When the water level is low you will hear the most annoying wheezing sound that you have ever heard in your entire life... Which will most likely cause you to unplug it out of rage. 2. It holds very little water compared to other models on Amazon, and refilling it requires you to unplug it, carry it, take the lid off, and refill it... Then carry the full thing with the chord, and put it back down and plug it back in... This is not exactly something I recommend to the elderly who need automatic water bowls. The good. It has a nice design. The water flow isn't terrible. It looks good, and I really do like the filters. They feel like they clean the water better than other water bowls do. I still recommend this bowl but only if you are okay with the pump noise, and having to carry the bowl with the chord still attached when refilling it.

My Cat Loves This Waterer
I was concerned the cat would not drink from the waterer, but after he inspected it, he drinks from it with no problem. I like the fact that the water is moving and not stagnating.

Works Great. My Pets Love It
Perfect Dish for a great price. Had a different dish previous to this one that croaked in less than 6 weeks. This dish is hardy, has low noise, and has a great reservoir for water. I also like that should the pump quit, I can replace that unit separately. I'd recommend this dish to anyone with smaller animals.
