Used these both for house and auto

I have used these momentary switches for both 120v switches within the house and also for 12v applications in my cars. They work once the button is pressed and turn off when the button is released, like a horn button would. They haven't failed me yet and after my 8th purchase of one, I decided to leave a review. Time tested.

Dryer start button

My sister's clothes dryer was finally dying after many years of use, so with limited funds she sought out a used replacement. Found a non-working one for $50, so I told her I'll probably be able to fix it since it was only 2 years old. That model is so new they're still selling them. It turns out someone had mashed the plastic start button and broke it. Rather than even look for a specific costly replacement, I ordered this momentary switch. Works great! The only issue I had was with the screw connectors. The old switch had spade terminals, and I didn't want to cut the females off of the wiring harness. All it took was a small file to shave down the brass to be able to push them on. Problem solved. It doesn't look quite as nice as the original gray cheap plastic start button, but who cares. This one should last forever.

Works perfectly

Excellent for the application I used it for. Micro switch failed in my refrigerator water and ice dispenser failed. I replaced it with this hand operated switch and saved me from replacing the whole refrigerator! Refrigerator parts obsolete.

An elegant solution to a broken computer button.

As a computer repair tech I occasionally run in to situations where someone has broken the power button on their desktop computer. A momentary on switch like this can be an ideal solution to that problem. This is a beautiful and elegant solution! The design of this switch allows depth adjustment when installing the switch. This can be vital when trying to find a new position for your replacement switch. Doesn't stick out too far nor is it too short for most applications. The screw-type connectors also make the wiring a breeze to complete. Strip a little bit of wire and a twist-twist of your screwdriver and you are done. I replaced a faulty wire on a client's computer about three years ago and I just sold him a new machine, but this switch is still working. In fact, I salvaged it from the old PC before scrapping it. This piece was never intended to fix PC's, so it is wonderfully over-engineered for that purpose. But man, does it ever work, for years.

It's a solid feeling switch; but a little expensive for the price

Bought this for an improvised "lunch call" circuit for the barn shop based around a 24VAC mechanical bell. It works great and feels solid when pressed, but it was a little expensive considering I only got one switch.

This is a switch that has not changed over many years. It works and works and works Unlike many cheap quality switches made to-day this is still the best value for the money. I might buy more as spares as I have paid much more for poor quality switches that did not last very long.
