Shadow boxing

Thats what I use them for… try to go 20 minutes a day and it definitely gets the heart pumping. The fit is a little weird, but I have frying pan hands, so it is what it is.

No good for serious training

I bought the 6lb model and I don't think the design can handle the weight. The velcro can not handle the rapid acceleration of throwing a punch and drawing it back in when I'm practicing, it comes undone and tears. I have to readjust the velcro probably every 35-45 seconds so you can see how this is a problem. I think maybe the lighter models can hold up to this better since they are lighter and less bulky than the 6lb one, but I don't know for sure. I give it a three star because as far as strapping a weight to your hand it works, but as far as shadowboxing for an experienced trainer, it didn't work for me.

While I agree they arent perfect

I have no regrets. Neither one flies off while shadow boxing, I am often correcting the right one as the Velcro slips but I mean, yeah that's going to happen with adjustable glove weights. I would love to have a pair created for my hands, but that's not feasible. Anyways, I've used these for several months over the course of a couple years, and honestly my strength and speed have seen exponential growth. Shadow boxing with and without is night and day difference, my arms simply do not get tired unless I'm using the weights now. I do 3 five and a half minute rounds so far, usually daily or every other day and I slowly increase the time per round. Like I said no regrets, I forgot I had these things until recently and man it's great

3-lb weighted gloves (for each hand) are really hard to find so I was excited to find these. I used them this morning with my 38-minute Hard Strikes workout and was very glad to have them - they will increase my shoulder strength and they definitely increased the cardio output! Much, much better (and a lot more safe) than using 3lb hand weights that's for sure. I am keeping this product but am going to make some modifications to it - sew on more velcro. Which brings me to my next comment: There definitely is a design flaw and my hope is that the manufacturer reads all the reviews and seriously considers making some changes to the way they are manufactured. First, these weights are going to be large since we're talking 3lbs on each hand so there's really no getting around the size of the gloves. The problem is that the velcro and the straps that are supposed to keep the 3lbs on the wrists during forceful punches need to work better; they certainly have potential to work better than they do -- the straps are long but the velcro stops way short before the end of the strap so it is very hard to get a good fit (especially when trying to put on a glove while wearing the other one). They don't stay snug and they do slide a little (I'll need to wear lifting gloves underneath them to avoid the rubbing). My thoughts are: #1) make the velcro stips longer to accommodate the longer straps which would allow a snug fit. #2) make the straps and velcro strips wider so these babies would be strong enough to hold their position tightly during a session of punches.

Use in Combination with Cardio

I do a 3 to 4 mile walk, 5 times a week. I wanted to increase calories burned. I started out with some sand bags but found out I had to put them down every time I need to touch my iwatch or get a drink of water. Search for a month but all I found was 1 lb, 2lb. type gloves. Which would have been useful but I needed a 3lb (each hand). By using arms and waist movements while on my walk. I increased calories burned almost double. Regular walk average 340 calories added 3lb Ringside gloves with my walk, 525 calories burn. When I get more coordinated. I can add some shadow boxing. Did I mention Great price, sturdy construction and very fast shipping (few bucks).

Good, but aren't super

I definitely like the comfort and they do add resistance but I thought it was going to be a legit glove. They're hand wraps which are hard to put on, didn't come with instructions, and took me 20 minutes to figure out

Comfortable and Work Great

I purchased these to get more out of my time on the treadmill. They are very comfortable and work great. I have adjusted the straps, so I can slip them on without unfastening any of them, but yet they still stay put when working out. I've used hand weights before, but because they require me to hold on to them, it creates undesired tension. These just make my hands heavier without any thought or actions.

product o.k., but worth browsing other options

When I'm running regularly, I enjoy some added weight including running gloves. Hard to find anything heavier than 1lb per glove. And this was the first set where heavier than 2lbs per glove was an option. Issue is load distribution and wrapping. If you wear them properly, there is a large tube of sand running through the palm, so you can forget carrying anything (e.g. phone, water bottle) while you run; and have to take them off to fumble with your keys, etc. Did experiment with turning them around so that the tube of sand that wraps the front and back of the palm instead goes around the wrist. Partly works better. But then the "wrist" wrapping doesn't wrap tightly nor neatly around the palm. If I was using them inside a gym for punch training, they would be more suitable. But not recommended for other exercise uses.

Not made for smaller hands

I have an earlier model from the same Company and they fit much better. The two-way strap system makes these very hard to make tight on smaller hands. I would not recommend them for women.

Gigantesques et inconfortables

Les deux étoiles viennent du fait qu'ils pèsent effectivement leur masse... Sinon, le produit est probablement inutilisable pour 70% (et je pense être généreux) des acheteurs potentiels. Vérifiez le prix de petits sacs de sable quelconques avant d'acheter ces "gants": vous ferez sûrement un meilleur investissement.

Fit big but I have small hands.

Like the other reviews say they are a bit big but I was expecting that. Now the more I wear them they are molding to my hand and I like them even more.

have used a few times without any issues, best fit is for medium sized men's hands but will stay on most sizes due to design
