Paid For themselves…REAL PROTECTION
If you like to ride fast “things” that can “throw” ya- these are essential. I already broke one - and it saved me from at LEAST a broken wrist, if not worse. Money well spent. These fit, can be worn w gloves (thin) underneath, and best part is they wrap around where your wrist meets your forearm 2x giving you even more wrist stability. They don’t restrict your movement too much, and they stay in place. The right hand did break, but It was the 2nd Major spill, and the left is still strong as ever. I believe the way I landed may have cracked it - and it was ~30deg F which doesn’t help. Either way, it did it’s job, as I went to work the next day! After the first (albeit harder) spill neither guard had more than a few scratches. These are for REAL Well made - I’m buying another pair now

These are my go to wrist guards.
I love these wrist guards!. I jump electric unicycles and race onewheels, so I take some pretty good crashes. These wrist guards protect my wrist!. The plastic part that takes the brunt of the impact frequently breaks which is preferable over breaking the bones in my wrist but my only complaint is that this part isn't more durable or I can't buy replacement parts when it does break. I usually just have to buy new wrist guards when this occurs. The good news is these wrist guards are pretty affordable so it's not a big deal. I've had expensive wrist guards that don't work anywhere near as good as these do.

Gives a nice rash.
Bought these a few weeks ago, while good quality for the most part, the metal button that holds it together near the wrist is made of some pretty dirty metal, broke out in a rash on both wrists where that button touched skin.

Exactly what I needed!
These wrist guards work great. Thanks!

EXTREMELY (maybe too) durable - break-in period needed!
Hands down, my favorite wrist guards (no pun intended!) These things are built to take a beating, and hold up like no other wrist guards I've previously had (I just bought this 2nd pair). The real goat leather is amazing - it is thick, tough, and can withstand pretty much anything. I also really like how only the undersides of the wrist guards have a plastic piece, unlike other ones which also have plastic on the top part. This enables for a more "natural" hand position and may be safer when falling hard. In fact, I can confidently say these saved me from a broken wrist when I fell trying to roller skate; pretty much all of my upper body weight went into my (subconsciously) extended right wrist. No injury was received other than it being on the "edge" of slightly sprained. They are very ergonomic, are semi-breathable, and have comfortable fabric. I just need to remember to flex my wrist down when strapping these so the side seam does not "dig in" to my skin. Only one little piece of cautionary advice: On my left one, it doesn't slide as easily as the right one. This means if you slam hard on that one and it does not slide, this could potentially cause an arm injury. I suspect this will subside, however, as I continue to wear them over time and break them in. I have "intentionally" started to break these in by mimicking a forward fall on a cement floor (with these snugly attached, of course). They tend to slide a little better after doing this a few times. Would buy again over any other brand any day, despite these minor annoyances, as they are still far better than anything else I've used.

Comfort is good, but the straps are too short
IN general the glove fits well and is easy and comfortable to wear, but the straps are too short to close them well.

Broke on first use
The plastic wrist brace part broke on the first trip to the skate park. It's riveted at the bottom so doesn't look repairable. Better than my wrist I guess but I didn't fall very hard. The glove part seems sturdy.

Works well for trail riding on big hands
I wore these for several days of dirt bike trail riding in Louisiana and Arkansas. I like them a lot. They're tough, with good joint protection. They have leather across the big knuckles, and in other places where you'd want it, and not where you don't want it. The stretchy elastic areas make for a good fit and ventilation. I'm 245 LB and have extra-giant-sized hands with thick fingers. The XL size formed to fit nicely, especially after the first day. They're snug, like they should be for joint protection. The splint does poke out into the space that would otherwise be occupied by handlebar grip, at least an inch worth. To adapt to that, I turned my hands so the index fingers were still wrapped around the grips, but my pinkie fingers are not so much. (That also caused me to keep my elbows raised, like you should for trail riding.) After a day of getting used to that, it worked fine. I didn't have trouble keeping a grip on the bars. I did have a little trouble with precise throttle control, but it got easier. I learned to treat the splint as part of my hand. Then I could let my weight ride on it, which was comfortable, at those times when I would have put weight on my palm instead, like on a hard landing. That hand position turns the splint further toward the outside. I felt that was a good position for catching my weight if I went down. For trail riding I might have gotten the full-fingered version of these instead, since I don't have brush guards on my bike. The fingers are longer than most other open-finger gloves, which field weird at first, but it worked well. Like others have said, the glove's thumb is set back toward the wrist (further from the other finger holes) a little too far for a 100% natural fit on my hand. It felt weird but it didn't cause any trouble at all.
