Go up one size…
I ordered a medium and they just barely fit. I even measured based off the pro tec website. I mean maybe my wrists are small but I do have sorta muscular forearms - not like Popeye or anything. I say go one size bigger.

Definitely works
Went roller skating around the neighborhood and fell so hard and fast, my wrists would definitely be broken right now if I wasn't wearing them

Almost a 4 star but not
I got these pads last year when I thought I would start practicing to roller blade in my 50s. My wife is much younger than me and she and our son would ride on their kick scooters while I tried to keep up. So I got a scooter when I figure out the roller blading was going to take quite a bit more practice than I had thought. So, I got a scooter so I could keep up with my wife and son, and it is a lot of fun. But, some would ask, "Who falls off of a kick scooter." and the answer is me. I took three falls last year, sprain one or both ankles, wrists and the last time smacked my forehead on the asphalt pretty bad. I had a huge egg above my right eye within a minute or two and a day and a half later my right eye was pretty black and my left eye followed a couple of days later. From that point forward, I decided that even when riding my scooter, I would wear my pads. Magically, when I am wearing my pads I do not fall. It is as though the devil knows when I am not wearing my pads. In any case, I do recommend these pads especially if you are refusing to get old like me.

Perhaps *too* sturdy
The upper forearm could use a longer tang. In-flight chaos, the leverage at the particular ratio/length may injure the bone during forward falls.

Too small.
Waaay too small for a "large." The velcro doesn't even come close to meeting up on my wrist and my hand and upper wrist at 10", smaller than the stated cicumference of most company's large wrist guard. Not sure why they would skimp on something as cheap as an inch of nylon webbing. Would have cost them 5 cents more to make one that would fit nearly every adult...

These have changed over the years
Have been using these ProTec wrist guards for years. There has been a change in the plastic used, it's thinner and more flexible. Also the curve at the wrist is sharper which makes for a bit of an awkward feeling when you've got it on. I'd rather use these than go without but they're no longer as good as they used to be.

My favorite wrist guards!
I’ve had a few pairs of wrist guards, and these are my favorite. The middle Velcro fastener is stretchy elastic which makes the fit nice and cozy and customized. These are super comfortable, and easy to clean. I spend a lot of time in wrist guards, and these are the best.

Good price and keeps me safe.
This is my third pair of these wrist guards. It is true that the stiffener is plastic rather than steel, but they seem strong enough to keep my wrists in 1 piece. (I did break a bone in my wrist 5 years ago when I fell and did not have these on! On that one day I had decided I didn't need them. Da!)). Anyway, what wears out is the elastic velcro straps. Over time they stretch until they become too long to keep the guards snug. That takes a few years to happen though and I use them about 3 times per week. My only caution is sizing. My wrists are 6.5" in circumference and I wear a size medium. When I first put these new guards on, I thought they were a bit too small - the velcro straps were just long enough to reach around and secure. Now that I've used them a few times, I am happy with the fit.

Pretty good wrist guards for adults
I have owned these for a month now and and they fit well and most of all feel very sturdy. Stitching is still in tact couple falls later and withstanding the constant sweating during the summer days. Plastic parts are solid and can protect me (85kg male) from falls.

Will protect you but it uncomfortable.
Let me start with the good points. Firstly, it will definitely protect your wrists from a fall and they're very low-profile so they don't stand out too much. Which is good with kids as they're sometimes peer pressured by friends now to wear protection when skating. However, after long use they can leave bruises on the back of your hand from the plastic pushing against it. It can be quite painful but is bearable. Also the fabric in between the thumb and index can rub against your skin which is also quite painful but bearable. Overall, they're good but there are better option out there.

The most valuable piece of my protective gear
As a new skater and over 40 I have bought all the protective gear - helmet, pads and these wrist guards. Out of everything these have been the most valuable to me and have saved my hands and wrists on a few falls. I would not skate without them!

Fits very well, firm wrist support
Bought this as a replacement for my first protective gear set. I am very satisfied with this purchase as this fits really well based on the size chart provided. High quality and I feel very safe wearing it.

Comfortable & great quality!
Great quality and comfortable on. Thought the hard plastic on the wrists would get in the way / restrict movement but I’ve found that’s not the case at all. Performed well on the few falls I’ve had. Definitely recommend.
