Almost "Singin' in the Rain"

Been searching for the perfect pet raincoat for YEARS...and this one comes close. There is WIRE in the two reflective stripes that run from the middle of the hood all the way down the back which really help with molding the hood to stay up over my dog's head AND the back of the coat to stay up over her long-haired tail -- she's a Maltese Mix -- that curls way up over hear back. All other raincoats the hoods are too big and/or flop down onto her face and the end of the coat rests too close on her back to allow for her tail to be covered. Use of wire is ingenious, however, there needed to be something stable, yet pliable, inserted horizontally across the lower back to keep the two wires stable...as my dog walks, her tail shifts back and forth and those wires move together with the fabric between them causing her tail to slip out sideways, so I have to keep putting it back underneath between the two wires. Also, the material on the sides and under neck (front of neck which is elastic for ease of sliding coat over your dog's head for secure fit) should have been at least two inches longer to better protect chest and underside from rain. Tummy strap is fantastic, though; best I've ever seen on a pet raincoat. So, it's not the "Mother of all Pet Raincoats," but it's the closest I've found in 11 and a half years.

Excellent raincoat for "noseless" puppers!

What you may not be able to tell from the description or pictures, is that there are two wires running down the length of the coat/hood through those reflective stripes. These wires make the tail and hood areas of the raincoat highly adjustable. Other raincoats I've tried for my "noseless" pug end up covering his eyes (if not his entire face) with a floppy hood, so this raincoat is great! As you can tell from the pic, he's not too sure about his new raincoat yet, but I'm sure his attitude will change the next time it's raining or snowing when we need to go for a walk. Their posted size chart seems very accurate. My pug is taller/longer/bigger than most (27lbs), so using the posted size chart, I got him a large and it's just about perfect. It's a little long on him, but it needed to be for his chest and neck measurements, and I can always adjust it with the wires to keep it out of the way of his corkscrew tail and other "business" areas back there. There's enough room in this size for him to wear a sweater underneath in case it's cold/snowing. I'm very happy with it! I was going to have to make something for him and then I found this. Great Rain Jacket!

The rain has begun here in Northern California, and we needed protection for my recent rescue dog Bear for his walks. I started looking at doggie umbrellas, but thought they may be too cumbersome, so browsed rain coats. Bear is a Spaniel mix, about 18 lbs. The medium size fits perfectly. The clear plastic hood is shapeable, and I like that in addition to the plastic D ring, there is a leash hole so the leash can be attached to his more sturdy metal double D rings on his harness. Also there is plenty of room for adjustment with the under belly velcro strap. I wasn't sure how Bear would take to a rain jacket. As you can see from one of the photos I'm getting a "WTH, Mom?" look. ;) But once we got walking he was fine. Good purchase, recommend.

Gooby - Raincoat, Adjustable Rain Cap with See Through Visor

Too difficult and time-consuming to get on my dog. The velcro strap that goes underneath across the chest is a pain in the neck to get on; it's too long, and could have been designed better. My dog hates the raincoat (that's not Gooby's fault). The garters (or whatever you call them), used to hold the back section down drive him nuts. I tried it without the garters but they're necessary to keep the coat from flipping up in the wind. I can tell this coat is not something he's going to get used to. I've purchased many Gooby dog vests and jackets. I've always been extremely pleased with Gooby's quality. But this raincoat? Not so much.

The best raincoat for Frenchies!

My dog hated the rain and would not go out until we bought him his Gooby as a puppy. He had ten other raincoats and they didn’t work because the rain in his face was the problem. This is his second Gooby in a bigger size. He LOVES wearing it and we have no more poop strikes!

I like it but my dog doesn't

This coat fits my 10lb yorkie perfectly and covers him from head to toe in the rain. He really hates it though, so I am hoping to get him to tolerate it in really heavy rain when it matters most. If he refuses to walk, it sort of defeats the purpose.

Bought wrong size...again. :-(

I bought this for my young Rottweiler/Lab mix in a size Large, but it was too big, so returned it. Now that he’s full grown, I bought it again. I tooK his measurements again, as indicated, and bought an XL this time, but it’s really tight around his shoulders. I was about to return it to get the next size...but I missed the return window. Well, at least it fits...really tight, looks like Hulk right before his clothes tear off, but we’ll give it a try until then.

Ein absolutes Muss für den Mops.

Tolles Produkt. Unser Hund mag Regen nicht. Da bei normalen Regenmänteln der Kopf immer irgendwie nass wird, haben wir eine Alternative gesucht. Hier hat der Hund einen kleinen Schirm über dem Kopf und wird somit nicht nass. Die Qualität ist super und man tut etwas gutes für die Umwelt, da der Mantel aus Plastik aus den Meeren gefertigt ist. Die Passform ist für den Mops auch ideal. Für den Mops ist es eh schon schwierig einen passenden Mantel zu finden. Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Geld ist es wert.

So cute and practical. Specially the visor part has soft wires inside so it is flexible and adjustable. My pup don't mind walking in the rain anymore
