Looks great, works great, no sign of overheating
I was a little hesitant about ordering this after seeing some of the problems that people have had. However, it looked nice and I wanted to give it a try. The USB ports will charge both an iPhone (5) and iPad (retina display) at the same time without any noticeable warming. Because of the problems that other customers have seen I only used it while I was in the room at first but now plug both the iPad and iPhone in at night without hesitation. I actually cannot feel any increase in temperature on the product case when I am charging my devices; I can't say the same about the chargers that they came with, which normally get quite warm when charging. There is a UL label on the back of the device. The swiveling plugs are also nice. I probably would have been happy to have a plug strip with outlets on the side that did not swivel but the swivel feature does make it easier to use. I like having the plug strip mounted to the wall rather than on the floor. I also like not having a cord to deal with. The plug strip has one plug that make an electrical connection to the wall receptacle. It also has another plug that plugs into the second wall outlet that only helps support the plug strip and does not make an electrical connection. I wish it had a screw so that it could be screwed to the wall receptacle to hold it in place but the two plugs seem to work fine. All in all, this plug strip exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Use in kitchen to connect multiple countertop appliances. The unit gave out with three items operating simultaneously, a situation I've used it in before. It would be nice if it had a breaker that allowed a reset.

Decent wall jack.
This is a nice sturdy construction 6 outlet wall surge protector. I bought this to be a charging station for all of my various electronic devices. The two built in USB ports were a must along with the extra outlets. I can easily have as many as 4 wall wart chargers plugged in and two USB based charging cables. The only thing I do not like is how easily it will come out of the wall outlet. It is very easy to "unplug" the unit from the wall when you are pushing a USB plug into the top ports. This would have been a slam dunk if they put a thru hole and screw so that you could remove the outlet coverplate and screw it into the outlet itself. Other than that, it works as expected. I can't speak to much about longevity since I have owned it for about 1 month. All in all, I would buy it again. If you want something that you are going to plug and unplug things often, then the "loose" fit may become a major annoyance. If you can live with this then it will likely satisfy you for years to come. I can see this being a very useful surge protector for a home theater installation where there is very little unplugging of devices.

Good product for its time!!!
Had mine for 4 years and the usb ports just died!! Replacing it has been a bit harder. There are better versions out there that swivel, however they leave the usb ports on the front???? Kind of defies the point of the swivel. I got my moneys worth however I am looking for a few options in my replacement that this was does not have. #1 a screw mount option. Some past reviews made this clear and I had similar issues where pulling out a plug can detach the whole unit. I was aware of this when I bought it so its not the items fault. Some people may have looser receptacles than others. #2. More powerful USB port. This is a tricky one cause most manufacturers will label them as 2.1 amp when they share that speed between both ports (allowing 1.0 speed for each). If you want a faster usb speed you will probably have to pay for it.. So your probably better off just plugging your phones original charge cube into the outlet to get the faster speed. That's what I am doing with this one still using it just plugging in my cube on the side.

Needs a little top support, but great all the same.
This is a five star product, but I could only give it four stars because of its tendency to lean away from the outlet it's plugged into. It has a normal male copper plug, to insert into a wall socket, on the bottom and a plastic male plug at the top. Unfortunately, the plastic support plug doesn't really offer much support. The top of the Globe Electric 6 Outlet leans out a little from the top. It doesn't seem to be a big deal, but it should've been addressed a little better by the manufacturer/designer. I suppose a piece of double sided tape or something similar would solve the problem. As for its operation, this Globe Electric 6 Outlet Swivel Space Saving wonder is an awesome product. I have my household phone answering machine plugged into it, and several small low power appliances. Along with that I also charge my Kindle Fire and smart phone with the two USB connectors on top of the unit. Best six outlet wall tap I've seen outside of a counter hogging power strip.

very practical swivel 6 outlets with surge protection & 2 USB ports allows to plug in all the items in my bedroom without needing a power bar. also, I can recharge my phone and electronics without having dangling wires in my living space

Muy funcionales, 100% recomendables.
Compre 4 en $352.43 pesos c/u, me funcionaron perfecto, el cablerio es el mismo pero mejoro 100% la presentación. Las clavijas de todo lo que conectaba siempre quedaban hacia el frente, ahora ya se ven mejor hacia los lados. Los puertos para carga de celulares y tabletas sirven a las mil maravillas. Pronto compraré otros 2 que me faltaron. Tuve que pagar gastos de importación pero valió la pena el precio.
