Product fine packaging BEWARE

I formerly used another bulk product also on Amazon that looks exactly like this one and is packaged in the same bucket. The old one is now used for my gardening so I looked at the lids and both buckets state that they are out of the same company in Tenn. It took me 20 minutes with a screwdriver and pliers to get the lid off. I get that the end goal is to keep the product dry, but perhaps there could be a built in access on the top that is a little easier to open. I am not getting any younger and if this is a problem for me, as strong as I am, I have to imagine it would also be a problem for others.

Decent laundry soap

I normally buy the expensive, clean, natural laundry detergents or soaps and I prefer those, but we hit a hard patch and had to cut back. I purchased this bucket of laundry soap hoping it would last a long time. We are a family of seven with four big kids (ages 7 - 11) and a 2 year old and they create piles and piles of laundry. I purchased this bucket in the beginning of September and use a 1/3 cup scoop. I wash twice a week and have around 7 large loads of laundry per wash day. I finished the bucket sometime in December. We have hard water and no water softener and I don't know if that affected the soap but I didn't feel like the clothes were getting all the soap washed out and there was often hard clumps of soap left in the washer after the clothes were washed, so I started adding a large splash of white vinegar to each load. Probably at least a third cup of vinegar. I'd dump the soap powder in the bottom of the washer before adding any clothes and add the vinegar on top of it and let it suds up, then add my laundry. I have a Speed Queen so I load that thing up. I can probably get what would be two loads of laundry for a normal washing machine into my SQ. I really feel like the vinegar works well with this laundry soap. I'm not so fond of the scent of the soap...smells kind of like ammonia or something. But hey, it's not all-natural so I expected to not like the scent and my clothes didn't smell like it after they were washed. I would purchase it again.

Good for the Price ????

It’s a good detergent, but good luck opening it. I spent two hours trying to open it. In the end I have to call the mechanic ????‍???? to open it for me.

Great value

This stuff cleans everything good. Really a super clean feeling to everything. Do wish it had a stronger smell to it once washed but the cleanliness is on point.

CLEANS CLOTHES WELL... A BIT TOO SMELLY

this product cleans clothing etc adequately @ 1/3rd cup usage per load but even so it is used up rapidly noticeably... and the so called LINEN perfume is noticeable if not really offensive even after a thorough rinse i would prefer less perfume and the manufacturer would save costs to make it so...

Nice scent & great for my super-sensitive skin!

Genuine Joe detergent in the 40 pound pail is the only detergent I've used for the past few years. I used to order it from a janitorial supply website & paid a rather high shipping fee. When I saw it on Amazon, I suspected I might get slipped some lower quality imitation. Happily, that didn't happen! The detergent I purchased from this seller is the same stuff I've been buying for years. The scent, texture of the powder & cleaning ability is identical. It's the genuine, Genuine Joe. What I save in shipping costs allows me to stock up on more detergent. Most importantly, I have seriously sensetive skin. If I sleep on sheets washed in some detergents (Tide being the worst offender!) I'll wake up with a painful full body allergic reaction after only a few hours. Obviously, I can't wear any clothing washed in that toxic stuff. I have no sensetivity reactions whatsoever with Genuine Joe! It's the BEST!!! Additionally, the packaging is sturdy & doesn't break, crack or come open during shipping. The plastic bucket is reusable & the lid seals completely (I have to stand on top of the bucket/lid to snap it closed as securly as it was before I ever opened it, & that makes it great for long term storage needs). The handle is sturdy & doesn't come loose or bend when lifting a full bucket. And of course, a 40 puond pail lasts a LONG time!

En poudre!

Bien contente! Enfin de la poudre! J'étais sceptique car à coup de 5 gallons, ça fait long si tu l'aime pas.. Mais j'ai adoré. Et j'adore le format 5 gallons qui est beaucoup plus écologique! En plus, ça fait une maudite bonne chaudière à garder après. Le parfum d'orange est léger, mais très agréable. Les instructions/quantité sont simples et directement inscrite sur la chaudière, selon eau froide/chaude etc..

Back to clean laundry the old fashioned way

I threw out those costly liquid detergents . Our household has several loads of laundry each week. We have been using this for several weeks and I am very pleased. Joe laundry powder does the job and more. I no longer use bleach or spot treat stains. For stains just add a little extra powder to the load and it will do its thing. For ceramic floors add a little to the bucket and get the floors clean. I also use it on my granite counter top. Gets the counters clean with a great shine to boot. Love love this product and love the savings.

Excellent produit.

Il est difficile de trouver du détergent à lessive en poudre et je suis super content d'avoir trouvé cet excellent produit sur Amazon, prix imbattable et service de livraison très rapide, j'ai une laveuse haute efficacité à chargement par le haut et la poudre se dissout rapidement. Beaucoup plus économique que les détergents de grandes marques en liquide où en capsules moins de déchets pour l'environnement et j'obtiens le même résultat au point de vue du pouvoir détachant et de propreté, je recommande cette marque très fortement.

A good powder detergent

It is getting really hard to find powder detergent. That, plus, one that is good for sensitivities. So.....partly in desperation, I crossed my fingers and gave Genuine Joe a try. Not disappointed! I have not been irritated due to use, the clothes are clean and actually look a bit brighter without fading. Really glad to have found this as we use powder not only for laundry but cleaning other things....outdoor furniture, etc., greasy hands from work..... I have already placed an order for more!

A little goes a long way

Just lightly scented and works really well. I wanted to switch to powder because I was told it's better for front loading machines and that 1-2 tbsps is enough. I put 1 tbsp in the soap dispenser area and it's doing a great job getting our clothes clean and fresh. And it's also going to last forever so it's a great deal. We do have softened water so less soap works well but if you have hard water you may need to use a little more but this bucket will still last a long long time!
