Good for baseball glove repair.

Tool was useless - too weak to pull material through hole. Lacing was a bit tough/stiff. But repair works well.

Needle not the greatest but leather gets the job done.

The two inside web cross members tore off and re- laced it with 2 1/2 ft of leather. Would definitely need a lot more if redoing the whole glove. I have about 1.5 ft leftover. I read that it came pretty dry and to use saddle soap but I only had mink oil so that it wouldn’t tear like I read in other reviews. Needle was useless and broke but used a paper clip to lace it up.

good for a small job

4 star because of the price. if your old glove needs a few small repairs this is great.If i were going to rebuild mitts on the side i would need to find another sourse for rawhide lacing 1/4 inch.

Smells like it will give you cancer.

It stunk up our whole house with a noxious odor. It smells like a donkeys butt that had chemicals stuck in it. I would rather die than buy this again. When I opened the package all the flies around me died. I seriously had to move the package out to the garage in the small amount I used on my glove made everything around it stink. When I put it in the garage all the paint on the wall started peeling. Seriously, I cannot tell you how awful and terrible the smell of the string is . If that were not enough, the string is way too thick to fit through a normal hole that needs replacing. As Ralph Wiggum said it tastes like burning.

works for boat shoes too

I bought this kit mostly for the lacing needle, although I put the leather lace away to use for another task. What I needed to do was thread leather lace through a pair of boat shoes. I didn't care for the lace that came with the shoes, and wanted to put in new laces to get a unique look. I tried a lot of different ways to get the lace through the eyelets in the shoes (screwdriver, pick, needle-nose pliers) and failed completely. When I got this kit, I was able to re-lace the boat shoes in 5 minutes. Sometimes you just need the right tool, and this is it.

Good Lace

If you need a leather glove lace, this should do the trick. The only thing to keep in mind is that the leather may need some conditioning. Once you do that, it works like a charm.

Leather dried out

Great kit..... but the leather lacing was dried out. Even the rubber band that held the lacing fell apart. I had to use saddle soap on the lacing to make it supple.

Great for crafts.

I used this to make a lampshade. Worked great. I don't mind the price as I researched several places before purchasing. This was the best price for what I wanted.

Poor quality of the lacing tool.

The lacing was fine but the lacing tool broke before the glove could be relaced. Terrible product I would give it negative stars if possible.

cheap hook

leather is good quality but the hook to pull it through is cheap it bent on me as the leather was thick and had a hard time pulling through the holes...
