Great kit, but only for partial glove relacing

I got this kit after the lacing on my sons glove fingers broke. I’ve never relaced a glove before but the included tool made it relatively easy after I figured out how to use it best. Note that the included length of lace is only enough to cover about 1/3 of a total glove - in my case that was enough for the fingers, but I stopped before replacing everything going into the pal area because I wasn’t sure it would be enough. Next time, I’ll just buy a long spool of it and relace the entire glove.

Nice kit, short lace

Great little kid but it end up being shorter than I needed. Make sure you look at the description that states the length.

Tool is great - Lace, not so much

If you're buying this, do it for the tool. It's durable and comfortable to work with. The lace is less than ideal - it was very stiff and does not appear to be any sort of high-quality material; it is very thin and dry, with fibers already flaking off. I recommend buying lace from another source.

Excellent For Small Repairs

I got black to replace a broken lace. It came with the yellow-handled stainless steel needle. This worked well. The only caution is to be sure you buy enough to replace the length of lace needed. If the broken lace is removed to estimate the length needed, remember how to relace it. Also lace it a little snug to allow for seating and stretch.

Does the job, pretty chancy with the leather lace

I think for the price they should probably give you twice as much leather, especially because you're going to need that much to do the whole glove if your whole glove needs repair. In my case I really only needed to do the pocket, there was enough to completely replace all the lace that has anything to do with the pocket. I'm going to need more sometime to fix the rest, seems kind of stupid I have to buy another kit with the tool... Word of caution, this should go without saying, DON'T STAB YOURSELF!

Worked well

Was enough to stitch the seem between the pocket and first finger, and a little along the top with about 18" left over.

The "tan" version shows the wrong needle

The product is fine, however, the "tan" version shows the wrong needle. The "tan" is actually exactly the same as the "black" except the lace is a tan colour. I had ordered the "tan" to get the needle shown so I ended up returning it. Ended up ordering a paracord needle set from Amazon for $10 instead. It worked much better for lacing a glove.

Great

I was able to repair my 30-year-old Easton glove... So much better than having to break in a new one. The tool that came with it really helped. I cut the end of one end of the leather string to a sharper point and put in a new hole for the tool so that it would fit better, but it worked great.

Great kit, the tool is indispensible

Exactly as described, I didn't even realize that it came with the tool but I wouldn't have been able to fix the glove without it. My catcher's glove ripped the pocket lace after a fastball. I would buy this again if another glove breaks.
