We’ve been curious about these big rolling massagers. Two of us in the family get charley horses from time to time. This big massager is meant to be rolled and is ideal for deep tissue massage, whether it’s along the calf, back, thighs, or legs. It works on the neck, too but at about six inches across, keep its large size in mind. Features: Highly effective with three speeds to choose from. Just click the dial to desired speed. Value and convenience: The price is fair but here are a few suggestions for the manufacturer to improve: 1) We wish a zipper case was included. For now, we’re using a two gallon Ziploc. 2) There are no charging instructions included and the system could be more convenient. To charge, pop off the side handle and you’ll see the plug for the separate included plug in charger. The problem is that there is no convenient way to store the charger. If the size were smaller, and it were redesigned to use a simple USB phone wall plug, (like your phone) the charger could instead store inside the unit. As it is, the charging cord and plug could get lost. Another reason to be sure you store the unit inside a bag to keep everything together. Effectiveness: Very. Powerful indeed at its highest speed and easily adjustable. Great for getting to knots and sore spots. What about that taboo question you may be wondering about? In three words: Yes. Yes. Yes!!! Wow. Let me try to describe this as tastefully as possible. If you’ve read stories about why some women love riding horses, this otherwise practical massager can be taken on an absolutely wild ride. Hop on for an INTENSELY enjoyable journey.

Pretty hard, not "foam" soft

I like the concept of this and how it is compact enough to take with you and charges with an included wall charger. It has three speeds as described, very user friendly and simple to operate. You just turn the dial at one end from off to I, II, or III. The other end has a carrying handle that doubles as a cap to cover the charging hole. Twist and pull handle to access charging port. (This is not explained in the product packaging anywhere so you have to figure it out in your own) The charger has an indicator light that turns from red to green when fully charged which I really like. My one big complaint: I realize this is a roller designed for tight muscle knots and circulation so it needs to be somewhat dense. I've used plain high density rollers for muscles and yes, they are hard and can be painful to maneuver your weight over them...HOWEVER, this is like hard plastic hard and with the added bumps and valleys molded into it, it is limited in how you can use it without it just being....like a rock and bruising your tissue more than actually working out muscles. It is by no means "foam" and some may find it near impossible to use for key areas on their body. If it were slightly less plasticky hard, I think it could be far more versatile for all areas of the body and with more weight applied. But I suppose a softer foam surface would make this less durable as well. It is built to be pretty durable. So prepare for some muscle soreness and even bruising if you really go ham with this thing.

Works great

My daughter had extensive foot surgery a while back that has resulted in numbness and tingling in her toes. The therapist started using vibration to help with that, and there was some relief, so we thought this might work for her at home. First, let me say that this roller is way bigger than we expected, and it isn't as soft as we thought it would be. Nevertheless, it does work. She puts the roller on the floor and runs her foot back and forth over it, and it works well that way. It's also great for the back and calves. The roller is rechargeable, and it holds charge very well. As I mentioned, it's not as soft as I expected. It's more like a hard foam than a squishy one, but that does make it much easier to wipe off after use. We're very happy with it, and really the only thing it doesn't have that I would like is a case to keep it in.

My first vibrating roller massage... and its very impressive. I get sore legs, so tried there first, and it surely shakes things up... glad it has 3 speeds. I use med or low. the effect is interesting, I think it brings blood to the area. feels better after I use it, so I assume it works... I like the roller concept vs. the pointed concept as this covers a bigger area. The cushion is just about right, enough to feel good, not so soft, it absorbs the vibration. comes with re charging cable and plug. I wold think it should have a sleeve like case for storage? It would keep it clean. these are products u just have to try, to see if you get a benefit, I was impressed.

Great and portable foam roller that combines foam rolling with a massage pre or post workout.

I recently received the Fitness First High Intensity Vibrating Foam Roller. It comes with a charger that you plug into one of the sides where you twist off the cap and plug in the charger. I frankly couldn't tell how long to charge it but charged it for a few hours since there is not anything that indicates when it is ready. There is a light on the AC adapter but it always stays the same color. Anyway, The foam roller has 3 speeds depending upon your needs. The first speed is considered low intensity where it is recommended to be used prior to workout , the second is medium to be used post workout, and the final is high intensity to really give you a great massage while foam rolling after your workout. I am an avid runner and run several marathons each year. Needless to say, I foam roll quite often after each of my runs. I have never tried to foam roll and massage after my runs but tried it with this foam roller on the high intensity speed/mode and it was awesome, worked out my kinks amazingly! This combines two really important activities to use post run that makes a real difference in your recovery! I love this foam roller and see myself using it after every run in the future. Please note that due toi the fact that there is a rechargeable battery inside it is definitely heavier than your typical foam roller so that is one consideration when traveling with this but a minor issue given the benefits that this will provide in smoothing your muscles and encouraging improved blood flow post workout.
