Paid off on 1 throw.
I live in NJ on the Barnegat Bay. My friend had a 10'Diam net that was way too big so I got this one to try and learn on. Nailed 24 Bunker with 1 throw. Paid for the net with 1 throw. (might have taken me 8 times to get it right) Have caught Spearing, Shad, Killies and Peanut Bunker in the back-bays by the bag. It's a little tricky using this net for the deeper cast you need for bunker. I've even added line to mine on occasion for the deeper throws. I love the leash so you don't loose the net on the throw. I'm looking for a 6' or 8' diam. The tee-shirt is pretty cool too since the word 'super-spreader' is in vogue now

Net seems to be of decent quality I have a hard time throwing it simply because I I throw a 10ft radius 1lb per radius ft net I bought this little net for smaller shallow water well the problem with that is the little 3/4 lb per ft does not sink near fast enough that being said if net was 1lb per radius ft it would be pretty close to perfect! And just so ppl know if it is a 4.5 radius ft it should open 2 a 9 ft circle

Check out some videos about how to care for these things and prep them. You’ll like the net a lot more if you do. This one is pretty cheap but it’s fine. I hung it on a log and broke a brail line but that’s easy enough to fix. Be sure you trim the brail lines at the knot on the lead line

Great option for cast nets.
Great option for any beginning or avid angler, wide variety of sizes. Wont break if your smart with where you throw it, avoiding rocks and tree branches. Purchased a size larger then the last one I had for almost 13 bucks cheaper on here then in my local walmart.

It's weights are to light
The weights are to light and it sinks to slow to be effective.

Perfect for creeks and tight spots
Needs a little more weight to throw easier. Not a beginner friendly net but if you have thrown a larger net its not too much different. I use it in creeks and docks, and it does great.

slow to sink
Standing in waist deep water i threw on a school of finger mullet. They were swimming at the surface; not a foot underwater, but the surface. I threw directly on top of them from about 7 feet away. bullseye. They easily swam down and pushed on while i watched my net slowly sink to the bottom. To catch whitebait/greenbacks/threadfin..(you wont believe this)..i chum the water with a can of catfood or whatever, and when the bait shows up, I then get out of the boat and walk straight thru the bait, while kicking up as much sand as possible. Why? So they cant see the net im about to throw when i turn back around..and still i get only the slowest bait. Go ahead and order it, but youll see. Ive never seen anything sink so slow..ive been throwing castnets since the early 90s. The net is quality, perhaps there are people out there who dont fish water thats clear. Maybe it works for them but for getting bait around florida, this isnt the net. The weights appear to be rubber or something soft. perhaps they should be a bit heavier for this net?
