Fine, too small too light

Net is fine. Bought the 3’ size for easy storage but it’s too small, mesh size too large and too light to be effective. Net construction is fine but the size does not suit my needs

Works but could be made better

It's not a bad net, but it ripped at the main tie after minimal use on sandy bottoms and a few small bait hauls. Also, could sink faster. I am sure I'll be able to fix it with braid, but I shouldn't have to. Biggest thing that upsets me is that mesh hole size seems to be bigger than described. But all in all not a bad beginner net.

Great first casting net for my 10 year old

Bought this for my 10 year old fisherman who has been wanting one. This was the perfect size / weight for him to use by himself.

Torn open package

So This is not expensive so you get what you pay for. I was looking for a bit of fun for my child. The packs we got were some of the old generic clear three packs then a freer and some other wax package. One pack was obviously opened before. This was bought to be a little treasure hunt. I do not buy scratch off tickets that are already scratched off. Likewise, I prefer card packs to be unopened. So my guess is that one will not have any treasure. So I am feeling a little meh about it. Just send 5 wax sealed packs and I think I would be happy. Other reviews said the same thing so I cannot be too disappointed.

Well made net

Great net to learn or teach with or refresh yourself if you haven't used one of the larger nets in a while. The is one of 4 that I now have, all of them are Betts, they make a good product. Going to use this to teach my grandkids. Only thing I didn't realize was the weights are steel with a plastic cover, not lead. It may leave rust stains on the boat if not kept in a plastic bucket. Shipping was fast also.
