BEST EVER
Bang for your buck! This device was easy to sync via bluetooth and the application itself is very easy to set up and read. I use this device EVERYDAY. The band is easy to adjust and clean and the sensors show no sign of degrading oir coming off the band. The application allows you to set your exercise and shows a break down of time spent in the "zones". All your workouts can be saved so you see them in your History.

Fragile battery cover and no replacement parts.
UPDATE: The Wahoo customer service sent me a replacement cover, so we're good! I don't know why my experience was different than other folks, but I'm glad it was. I had to change the battery on my Wahoo TICKR. I recently purchased one for my spouse (and I wish I hadn't) and I purchased my first one in February 2022. I have some issues. While taking off the battery cover with a coin a bit of plastic fell out. I found out that it was one of the cover attachment pins. Once I replaced the battery, the cover would not close securely so there is no signal to my bike computer. It is basically dead. I have a support request to see if I can get a replacement cover. Multiple people have posted that Wahoo does not sell replacement covers. I dislike disposable electronics and I find this to be reprehensible as a consumer. It is a little bit of plastic that is already in mass production. For the love of all that is holy, sell replacement parts instead of sending things to the dump. I'm not happy as I'm out $50. If the support team sends me a new cover, I'll change my review. I do not have high hopes due to other complaints. Second, the battery corroded. I'm guessing that the seal on the battery cover is not great. Sweat probably entered the product and made it corrode as there was other nastiness in there too. Inside the battery area, there is no indicator of positive and negative alignment. You have to remember how you removed the battery. Which I did the first time, but when I took it apart the second time to troubleshoot, I wasn't as careful. If you install the battery backwards it resets the device. Those pins are too fragile and $50 is too expensive for a device that doesn't have replacement parts.

Works like a champ with old Garmins
Bought two expensive Garmin chest straps before convincing myself they no longer worked reliably with my old Garmin watch. This works like a piston. Buy this one.

Get this not garmin
Had a garmin first and it would just drop out. HR in the 160’s and it would read 70 so I sent it back. This is significantly more accurate. BUT I will say wear it for a few minutes before you start your workout otherwise it takes a bit to start reading your HR. It will say N/A or - - for a few minutes.

Battery
The battery that comes with the unit was garbage. Died on my first ride. Just buy a fresh battery.

Easy to use
I'm not using the mobile app because I'm using the tracker with the fitness program I'm doing. I did look at it though, and it's simple to use. But there isn't a separate workout profile for walking. There's only running or treadmill which won't account for hills and such if you're hiking. So I assume you have to use running to walk outside. As far as the device itself, I like it. It fit well with little adjustment, which was a surprise as a wider person. The two light system is easy to understand and see if you have it on right. My only concern is there wasn't any guidance pertaining to how to clean the thing with as much sweat as it comes in contact with.

Arrived with a dead battery.
I have no idea how it will perform over time but it was disappointing to have it arrive with a dead battery. Fortunately since I'm an active cyclist with lots of sensors I buy CR2032s by the dozen. It easily paired after replacing the battery.

Connects directly to apple watch without having to use the Wahoo app
I was looking for a product that I could use with apple fitness plus that would connect directly to my apple watch (on watch go to settings -> bluetooth -> connect to Tickr) without having to use a 3rd party app, and this monitor gets it done. I have not tried an ANT+ connection but bluetooth works fairly well. Since I'm not going through the Wahoo app, sometimes it will disconnect and I have to re-connect mid-workout. This sounds worse than it is - i usually check it about every 15-20 minutes. Other than the disconnects, it works great - i'm getting a much more accurate HR in my workout summaries than with the optical sensor on the apple watch alone - especially in HIIT and Rowing and other workouts that keep your arms moving rapidly. I didn't feel the need to get the higher end Tickr because I dont really need to store workout data on the device and this one is more than adequate. It's comfortable to wear and the strap is very adjustable. No sliding down and no pinching. It's very easy to use - put it on and pair to apple watch - no buttons on the device to click. Data is accurate compared to manually checking my pulse with a watch over multiple intervals of resting and active heart rate. I've been overall satisfied with the Wahoo products - they work great as advertised at a fraction of the cost of the other bigger names like Garmin. I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 due to the disconnect issues - overall happy with the product with a minor inconvenience - it would be nice if there was a firmware update to fix this.

Works well, price is good, battery life good, connection seems fine
I've been using this for almost two months now. No issues with the connection or with the heartrate "freezing" like some others report; I use Bluetooth to a Pixel 3a, and I also always have Bluetooth headphones connected at the same time playing music. It takes a few seconds to sync up to my phone after starting Strava, then it's connected and it works fine. So far I've had it connected around 2 hours at the longest (walking and running).

Works well
I bought this HRM (along with other Wahoo monitors) for indoor cycle training. It works as expected and seems to be accurate. It works well and integrates (over bluetooth) with my Zwift app. Sometimes there is a bluetooth conflict between syncing with my laptop or phone or tablet but it usually resolves. I wish it gave a signal or something when the battery is getting low as several times it would not connect and I couldn't tell if it was the battery or a connection issue. It is very comfortable to wear for long rides. $85cdn is still a steep price to pay for a single-use heart rate monitor. $50 should be where this sits or combine with other products (cadence and speed monitors).

Unreliable, inaccurate and low quality
I am reviewing this after a year of ownership and use. I don’t believe most other reviews are after a long period of use. I have now replaced the device with a Garmin HRM. The device worked without fault for the first month or so. After one month, I started to notice drops of 10-20 bpm every so often. These would happen approximately every to minutes and would take about 45 seconds to recover properly. After three months, the slider to adjust the size of the strap became brittle and snapped, leaving a sharp edge digging into my back. Four to five months in, the data logging started becoming very poor. It seemed to default at 121 bpm regardless of exertion. Only once I had unclipped it and reclipped did it start recording properly to only drop out to 0 and re-record. I also experienced it randomly peaking ~5bpm above my heart rate. Six months in, it struggled to detect any heart rate activity and, therefore, would not connect. Eight months in and it would record my heart rate, consistently, at 225bpm. My post session graph would be a flat line of 225bpm. Ten months in, I did a 2k test with the monitor. The heart rate it gave me bear no resemblance to anything. Completely inaccurate. Twelve months in, it struggles to detect any activity, drops out mid session and peaks randomly. It completely stopped working at this point. Throughout the year, I noticed a buildup of corrosion around the contact points of the chest strap and the monitor unit. Cleaning it with alcohol provided a temporary fix. I only ever washed the strap with baby shampoo. The monitor had about 150 hours of hard use and over 500 hours of low intensity.

Great customer service. Great company!
The item I got did not perform as expected (that happens sometimes) but Wahoo made it right. Great customer experience and great product. I would buy from them again with no hesitation.

Horribly in accurate heart rate readings
I bought this because my older Garmin HRM strap doesn’t broadcast data in Bluetooth which Zwift requires and since I am using Zwift with a Wahoo Kickr this seemed like the right way to go. I have used it on a least six rides and had to take it off on 3 of them and have decided to never use it again. I have tried replacing battery, pairing directly with wahoo app, ensuring contacts are wet, and ensuring good fit and keep getting silly readings like 45 BPM (below my resting HR) while riding or other readings constantly 20 to 30 bpm off the actual number. When I switch back to my Garmin strap it works perfectly with consistent, accurate readings, but of course doesn’t provide data to Zwift. Have now purchased a Garmin dual strap that will broadcast in bluetooth. Don’t know if I can return this one because I tossed the packaging
