great but terrible... what will you use it for?
The Vantage M has a great user interface to consolidate all your performance metrics on an easy to see screen. The watch itself has a great battery life, looks good, and is perfectly sized. The problem is with the sensors: almost all are mediocre: - Heart rate from the pulse is good only if you're not running (will be 3-5 bpm off most of the time, and have a 30+ second lag to adjust to haert rate variations). But if you run with it, HR readings go completely crazy, typically missing BPM by 10 or even 20 beats - up or down. - Speed and distance are terrible: although the GPS will record your position precisely, for some odd reason the speed algorithm is awful. Will overestimate your speed by anything from 10% to +200% and this variance will move up and down through the run. - with medicore speed comes mediocre distance measuring, also always grossly overestimated. Once again, very odd given that the GPS is precise. - Given low HRM, speed/distance precision I tried to connected it to a Wahoo TCKR X HRM and a Stryd footpod for speed/distance/power. But that didn't work because I can only connect one of these 2 sensors to the watch's bluetooth. - Customer support to solve the bluetooth issue above was terrible. Wahoo and Stryd online support was fast, precise and helpful. Polar's support was slow, dismissive, vague... frankly, useless. Finally got the whole setup to work buying a Polar H10 HRM. With the same brand watch and HRM I managed to get the watch to simultaneously read the stryd sensor. And now it's a great little setup for running.

Slow to sync and charge
I really want to love this watch but several things are annoying. My previous watch was a Garmin Forerunner 735XT which I enjoyed. A friend had a Polar and I liked the mobile app daily activity display better than the Garmin. I still do. Overall the Polar is ok, and I do like the training programs and sleep summary. The following are things I don’t like about the Polar and were better with my Garmin watch. Display is dim, harder to read Syncing is slow and often doesn’t sync right away Charging is slow Sleep does not tell you when you got out of bed Polar does not have a feature to track mileage on running shoes If you forget to stop the watch after a run you can’t adjust the finish time. You can’t add the miles to an indoor cycling workout like you can with Garmin. If Garmin’s daily activity display was more like Polar’s I’d probably switch back to Garmin

Decent funtionality but HR is not accurate
When I needed to upgrade my M300, I decide to give this a try to avoid the chest strap. I was hopeful that the HR would be accurate based on other reviews. It is not. For example, when doing the stairmaster at level 10 (after 7 minutes), my heartrate is between 90 and 100 bpm. When using the chest strap, my heartrate would be in the upper 130s or lower 140s. That's a huge difference. Also the black paint around the face chipped off within 3 months of owning and I had to replace the band after 6 months. The battery life was good until the last firmware upgrade when they changed the sleep tracking to give nightly recharge. While the information is interesting, I am hesitant to believe this is accurate (based on heartrate during exercise). The PolarFlow app is very easy to use and provides useful stats. My only complaint is that my account is not synced between my iPhone and iPad. You have to sync on each device.

Very well designed product, great battery life. Aesthetically a go anywhere device
Professional grade (so far - 2 weeks) monitor for athletes or fitness geeks. Takes a little time to understand all the metrics and functions, but well worth the time invested. Looks great, easy to read in most light conditions without resorting to turning on the backlight. I think this is a superior product to Garmin offerings at twice the price.

Very accurate
I bought this to replace an older Fitbit. I had previously used the chest strap Polar products for many years and wanted to get back to the brand. I was glad to see that the tech had changed so I don't have to wear a strap. I have had the Vantage M for a couple of months now and am very happy with it. The heart rate monitor seems accurate for my purposes--I do group fitness classes and personal training so am not training for any sport. I like the sleep tracking feature, the number of activities I can choose and the Polar Flow app. The watch may have more features than I need but I am very happy with it.

Great first impression
As an elite runner I am interested in tracking data but not overwhelmed by it. The Vantage gave me the opportunity to choose what I wanted to see for both training and racing. The GPS was very accurate and easily located satellites and work perfectly straight out of the box. Being able to sync and manage the watch from the app on my phone, no more computer necessary! A huge bonus for me was being able to select size, the size small fit perfectly and did not feel bulky. I would recommend this watch to any runner from beginner to pro.

Great product!
I love this fitness tracker! I wear it all of the time except when bathing. It's durable and the band has held up nicely compared to the fitbit devices that I've used in the past.

Take care about the sizes
For me wasn't clear the real difference between the S & ML size. I thought that the difference was in the size of the watch. But when I receive the Item, I saw that the diference was just about the belt lenght. I think, It's important to explain it better.

Excellent watch
(Received July 2021. Reviewing after 3 months of use) Great tracker for a wide variety of sports! Sleek design, long battery life, and easy to see screen (despite what others have said, I have not had issues). Upgrading from a Fitbit Charge 2, so quite a difference, however very intuitive to navigate.

Fantastic product
Upgraded to this from the V800 and am thoroughly enjoying this sleek and functional watch. It’s slim enough to wear everyday including under my dress shirts at work.

Read this !!
Love it, more than accurate, people complaining probably doesn't put it tight enough when exercising and too close from the wrist bone, look on polar website.

Great sports watch
First impression was the watch was very dim in brightness. But I have found it seems to react to ambient light and visibility actually improves in daylight when running or walking. GPS tracking on my first run, showed me running through some buildings, but that has not reoccurred on subsequent runs. GPS lock was very quick. Battery life is great, recharge every 5th to 6th day with heart rate monitoring on. Recharge time was quick also, it went from 14% to full in about 30 minutes, while I checked email in the morning. Overall a positive experience coming from my old no longer supported Microsoft band 2. I have yet to play with advanced features in the PC app such as changing what is displayed on the phone during a run.
