Very pleased so far.

I hesitated to get a battery powered string trimmer. I have to do no small amount of trimming. Someone with a smaller yard will find this perfect and will have no problems with battery life. It is impressively lightweight, but I also recommend getting a strap if you are doing a lot of trimming. When the battery does go completely dead I noticed it was back to full charge in less than an hour. I am 6'4" and the telescoping shaft helps a lot. I was very surprised with the amount of power this machine has. If you are considering moving from a gas trimmer I encourage you to do so. No more pulling the tiny cord with a tiny handle. No more mixing fuel. No more choke or primer. You pull the trigger and weeds fall. If you are worried about reloading string, stop. Super quick and simple, as the head does the reloading for you at the push of a button. In short, this machine takes away the primary irritations I always had with using a string trimmer. This is my first purchase from EGO and I am considering making some additional purchases if this trimmer continues to perform well.

Powerful and Quiet

I did my research on value and capability and I have no regrets. This weed wacker is as powerful as the gas one it replaced. Only thing I never liked on weed wackers is the bump feed of the spool. I prefer retrofitting with a head for weed wacker whips instead of spools. I’ll have to see if this cordless weed wacker is retrofittable. The only negative to this cordless unit is balance. It should have had some counterweight in the back to lift the front and make it feel lighter. I have a bad back and it feels like I’m lifting the whole unit with both hands.

Heavy duty

Get it if u really need it. I daily use 2.5ah and 5ah batteries on ego 765 blower. I thought ill need the strap to help with sore elbows but i never use it its uncomfortwble to use the strap on blowers at least. Maybe long run but im sure ull be taking breaks in between. I have 2 straps, one from 765 kit thwt came with 5ah x1 battery and i purchased this one before hand. I tried to use straps just not very comfortable if u are not just blowing but multi tasking as well well such as pick up litters while u blow. Took about a month for my elbows to adapt to the weight of 5ah battery, used to run 530 ego version, the soreness will go away. Eat and hydrate properly and save money if getting this fir the blowers

Works as intended

I bought this for a EGO 1502 weed trimmer, and it works effectively in shifting weight from the arms to the shoulder/hips. I weed approximately an acre and this makes the job a lot easier. The strap is fairly comfortable although I wish the strap was wider and the shoulder pad a little more padded. Costly for it is but it look like it will last through several seasons of weed wacking. Recommended.

Weed Trimmer

This is our 4th weed trimmer and by far the 1st month has been a dream. The battery lasted about 45 minutes...Ill take that, and the auto feed and release works as expected. Thank you.

Makes yard work easier

Pro - I'm using this strap on my EGO leaf blower. With the battery, the blower is very heavy to carry around "unsupported" while clearing grass clippings from the driveway and road (usually takes about 10-15-min to do this). Use of this strap makes the job that much easier as it distributes the weight from the carrying arm to the strap over the shoulder. Con - The strap does not expand far enough for someone with a large stature/girth (I also purchased one for my neighbour who is a little heavier and of bigger build than I am).

Parfait

Malgré que mon weed eater est léger, il reste qu’après plusieurs minutes a l'utiliser ca tir dans le dos. Ce produit permet de partager le poid et c'est merveilleux! Le connecteur entre l'outil EGO et le support est simple, en metal et vissé. Ce qui fait une connection solide. Ensuite vous pouvez retirer le support grace au mousqueton. Bon produit! Je recommande!

Easy to install and a good value for the price.

This strap is essential if you use the trimmer. It not super luxurious, but it's attractively priced and has a sturdy construction. The strap appears to be nylon, sop it won't break even with heavy use. The trimmer is pretty heavy and without the strap you're carrying all the weight on your arms. It took only minutes to install and adjust for my height. I'm not sure why it's not included with every trimmer, but it was a required add-on for me.

A good solution if you've got a lot of cutting to do

I got the trimmer strap as I was feeling some back strain from swinging the trimmer (think it's about 20lbs with the battery) for 45 minutes to an hour to cut a grass slope. The strap assembles quickly and is easy to sling over your should. I controls the level and radius of your cutting pattern. Would have been nice if it had some elasticity built into the strap to make it feel less restrictive. Bottom line is it caused less back/arm strain if you have a longer cut to do. It also keeps the trimmer on level better than without the strap.
