Great for zippers
I bought this for zipper installation, and it works great. It has just the right amount of sticky to hold the zipper on without being too sticky if you need to reposition. Normally keeping zippers straight while sewing can be a bit difficult for me. If I use pins, they can make the zip or fabric pucker a bit, so you have to fiddle with it while sewing. This tape eliminates that problem. It was especially helpful when I had a 30" zip to sew. Would definitely recommend and buy again. UPDATE (1-3-21): Three things- 1. Storage- If you don't plan to use this all up at once, I would recommend storing the tape in a ziploc bag or other airtight container. That way the tape won't dry out and lose its stickiness. 2. Holds multiple layers, not just zippers- I recently had to sew some tight curved corners and it was hard to keep the layers from slipping, so I used a small bit of this to hold them in place, and I was pleasantly surprised that it worked. I didn't think the tape would be able to hold the layers together especially with the added tension. It was super helpful! 3. Separating the tape- It can be a bit difficult separating the paper from the sticky tape, but if you "stab" the corner a couple times with your fingernail, it will help separate the layers making it easy to peel them apart.

"Wonder" how you ever did without it!!
If you sew stretchy fabric, this stuff is gonna make you skip and jump for joy. Temporarily stabilizes the seam so you can sew through it like any stable woven without any pins or clips. Washes out so easily, you can practically just rinse it off in the sink and iron dry if necessary. It can get your fingers sticky when applying, and you'll want to store the opened package in a container when it's not in use. The whole roll will dry out quickly when exposed to air. I put it in a little plastic tub that originally had blue cheese crumbles in it. It's just the right size to hold the whole plastic parts of the original packaging, and saving those parts also helps keep the rolls in better shape until you use it up. Keeping it in the tub, I still have to peel a few inches off to get back to where it's really sticky - even when it's only been 24 hours since the last time I used it.

Miracle Tape
This is a must have when working with difficult fabrics. I have made many blankets using minky fabric (cannot iron, very stretchy, notorious for moving around). No matter how many pins I used, it was always a struggle. I tried out this tape on my most recent minky blanket and it was a game changer. It took half the time pinning does, allowed the fabric to lay flat, and didn’t shift at all. I could sew quickly without constantly adjusting and didn’t have to go back to correct any problems, so it made the whole project take way less time. I will never again sew minky or any other difficult fabric without this Wonder Tape.

Take the hassle out of sewing -- great for novice sewers
I bought this Dritz Quilting Washaway Wonder Tape, 1/4 by 25-Yard to help with a bushcraft pack I made. I have three little daughters who I like to take camping, but since they're all still young, I have to carry the gear for them in addition to my own. It's hard to find an ultralight, high-load pack with enough capacity for that sort of thing, so I designed and made my own. I'm not very experienced at sewing, but after making a few small test bags, I started making the real deal. To help things along, I ordered this tape and instantly the quality of my sewing improved considerably. The double-sided tape keeps the fabric from shifting, allowing me to concentrate on making even stitches. It is so thin, it doesn't seem to interfere with the needle and thread. It just does its job and holds the fabric pieces in place. It is especially helpful when you have several pieces of fabric all coming together, such as the corners of a pack, plus a pocket, plus webbing loops all overlapping together in a single seam. The only downside here is that the tape doesn't always stick as well as I would like, but I won't deduct a star because I think it's about right (If it were stickier, it would hold the fabric more securely, perhaps, but it would likely also snag the needle or thread and create problems). When sewing fabric like nylon Cordura, the tape also sticks noticeably better to the "wrong" (PU coated) side than to the brighter/shinier "right" side of the fabric. If you're a novice sewer, or you are sewing complex items made from multiple layers of fabric (such as a pack), I really recommend this tape. It lives up to its "Wonder Tape" name.

Great for holding hems or trims while you sew
This is some of the coolest stuff I have to help me sew. I often have to apply long lengths of trim to fabric and this tape is awesome. It sticks the trim firmly to the fabric so that it doesn't creep or stretch while I'm sewing, no puckering or wandering. I mark straight lines on the fabric with a Frixion marker or pen, lay the tape sticky side down next to the line and then burnish the paper back of the tape rather hard with a smooth tool, like my scissors handle or a stainless burnisher. It can be tricky to get the paper peeled off of the sticky part - it's the only bad thing about it. I usually just lift one end and use a pin and my fingernails to pry the sticky stuff away from the tape. Once you get it started, it's easy to pull the tape to the side and away from the starting point. Don't pull up, or the sticky part can come unstuck from your fabric. Then I lay the trim onto the exposed sticky stuff, rearrange it until it's straight and then I can press it with a steam iron and let it cool. It holds well enough to get both sides of the trim sewn down. It doesn't gum up my needle, either. Really wonderful tool for applying bias tape or any kind of lace or trim to long stretches of fabric.

Very pleased
Used this with a slippery knit fabric, and was very happy at how it held the pieces together so I could sew. No pins or clips needed, just a gentle press to get the adhesion to both pieces of fabric. A quick washing when the garment was complete, and any exposed tape was washed away.

Not what I expected
I have purchased Dritz Wash-Away Wonder tape several times in the past. I find it to be the best tape for adhering zippers when sewing bags. It applies well and the paper backing comes off easily but not this particular package I received. I have to work at getting the liner separated from the sticky tape but once I do it’s fine. Not sure why this is - wonder if it’s an old package thus the reason for my 4 star rating.

Won't sew a zipper without it
This works so well. I will NEVER think of sewing in a zipper without this amazing stuff. A friend asked me to make some vinyl chair cushions for him. I found a you tube video showing an easy way of doing this, also using this kind of tape. It made the job so easy. I can't believe I hadn't thought of using this for other things beside zippers. Now that it's on my radar I'm sure I'll be finding other uses for it. I don't worry about putting it anywhere, because it washes away. It also is easy to readjust something if you're not happy with the placement.

I love this stuff
I love this stuff. It is so handy when sewing and you can't use pins because it's too intricate or whatever reason. A piece of this tape works great - it's basically a thin double sided sticky tape but it will wash away in the laundry. I find that sometimes the tape isn't as sticky as it should be when it comes off the roll - if I simply dampen it (either the tape or the fabric it's going on) then it gets more sticky and it's usable. My only complaint is that you can't sew through it easily as it will gum up your needle, so be sure to place it away from your stitching if you can.
