Decent crepe maker, some challenges

First, the quality of the product -- Amazon delivered an order and the surface had defects. Returned for replacement = and that one had defect too. Returned it and after a while ordered another one = this one arrived in good shape, though plenty of dust on all over the crepe maker in the box. After cleaning and preparation of the surface (5min on high heat, per manual) - went on to make crepes according to the supplied recipe. Crepe maker works rather well. It takes practice however - pour batter on low, then raise to high for cooking, then back to low to pour the next one. Included spreader was not as good as a round one we had. Spatula is decent. Ladle is good capacity and very handy. Batter recipe included with the maker is not good - appears to be too thick. Use Julia Child's from vol2 https://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Art-French-Cooking-Vol/dp/0394401522/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=art+of+french+cooking+julia+child&qid=1654379284&sr=8-4 . Spreading evenly takes practice . Overall pretty good package, once you get a unit which is not scratched.

Lots of Luck...very frustrating

Nothing works like in the pictures...a good motto to live by. It takes a lot of practice and patience to get a crepe to look half-way decent. You will have a lot of ugly flops before you dare serve any to guests. Try more than one recipe and find the right consistency of the batter. The the T-shaped gizmo is useless and just makes a mess of the batter on the surface. You can't lift up the device and swirl the batter as you can in a crepe pan, so lots of luck making a circular crepe. I'm almost sorry I bought this instead of a pan. I may use it for basic pancakes instead of wasting ingredients.

YouTube is your friend, use it before using this.

It was great once we figured out how to use it. The instructions are crappy. If you get this make sure to go to YouTube to see how to actually spread out the batter. And make sure your batter is not to thick, it should be pretty thin. Their recipe was way too thick. This is not my first crepe maker but it is my first one like a griddle. Also the utensils are wood. I am sure that is to hold up to the heat but I can't stand the feel of wood, so I have to use a glove when I use it. As I said in the beginning, once you know what your doing it works great. I bought this one to also replace a griddle my husband stole from me. Haven't tried it that way yet.

Just right for the price. Works well, with one design flaw you need to know.

You can't beat the price for this ceramic coated crêpe maker for $20. The non-stick surface works well. Heating adjustments is responsive. Overall, it delivers. Of course, at this price point, you'd ask what gives? The heating element, as others have noted, creates uneven heated areas. The middle is less heated than the three centimeter outer edge. I end up having to fold and move the crêpe to the edge once cooked to even things out -- this is undesirable but not a complete no-go. If you really want to get it right for lots of crêpe making, perhaps move on to a better heating element option. For this unit, beside this one flaw, it works well and I'd recommend it. Though I haven't yet tried, the good non-stick surface gives me ideas on fancy omeletes or sunny side up eggs with a lightly crispy bottom side.

nice price sleek product

very nice very slick but one downside i dont think i would use it for anything but doughs like crepes or pancakes it is a great nonstick since it uses no harsh chemicals and it just ceramic but its kind of odd feeling to me very very slippery not sure i would use it for meat or anything like that really good for the price though

Crepe Maker

My husband is the primary user of the crepe maker and is very happy with it. He has had no problems using it. The only "con" I can think of is the strange hissing whine it makes while the crepe cooks. My husband says "she is just complaining and when she stops you know it's done". Overall he is very happy with the purchase

Répartition chaleur

Très bon appareil , mais dommage que la répartition de chaleur ne soit pas égale sur la surface . Les crêpes deviennent des biscottes sur les bords extérieurs tandis que le milieu est cru .

Bastante mal producto, dejo de funcionar en 2 meses. Debe ser bastante mala calidad. No lo recomiendo nada. Ni forma de pedir garantía
