Excellent Resaw Fence

This re-saw fence was a perfect fit for my band saw. Instructions were easy to follow and it took a minimum amount of time to complete the swap. Quality parts that fit the first time. Shop Fox's customer support is some of the absolute best out there. I would recommend them to anyone.

!!Shop Fox D3574 Resaw Fence (((NOT))) for the 1706 Bandsaw.!!

Resawing for a wood worker is huge in order to limit wood waist. Saw a previous 1706 review stating that it worked with no issues. Well, the only way for it to work is to have a 19" table base. So I got dooped and hope no one else dose. After Calling Customer service at Shop Fox, this fence is ONLY for the W1729 model bandsaw. In order for me to use for the 1706 bandsaw I have to do a huge modification.

Great upgrade for the price

The fence on my G0513 anniversary edition was low and cheap feeling. This is the same item as the one sold under the Grizzly name at a better price. Like others have mentioned, I had to fashion a block on the back of the fence to hold the support for the slide. I just jammed a piece of 3/4” MDF in there and drilled a hole to thread the supplied for into. The fence is plenty stiff and a nice height for thicker pieces or resawing. The cast iron arm is heavy and solid. No complaints and if you have a G0513 you should get this.

Fit the Shop Fox W1706 with no modification needed

This was a bolt-on directly to the Shop Fox W1706 bandsaw. I have the 6" riser block installed for re-sawing. I didn't even have to change the back rail. The holes lined up directly, everything fit perfectly. This has been a good addition to the saw. I have used it numerous time since I installed it and I am very happy with it. Even if you have to drill a few holes to make it fit your saw, it is well worth it.

Bought it for the aluminum extrusion

I needed a tall fence for my bandsaw. This was the least expensive option I could find. I only needed the aluminum extrusion. Using it with the Kreg bandsaw fence and there are no issues with that at all. For those that will be using the whole assembly. The cast iron part is very substantial and has a machined face. I didn't check tolerances on it, but the machining is nicely done and it looks like it should be straight and flat.

What a buy IMHO for under a $100.00 you can add this fence to a 17" grizzly bansaw. I have the 17" anniversary saw. When you take the original fence off the new one bolts right on. Keep the spacers from the old fence . on the side that slides I put one 5/16 nut and the spacer and the old socket head screw fits perfect. I could not wait to make a spacer but will. This fence works perfect.

This fence is not as advertised. It says in the description that it fits the ShopFox 1706 bandsaw, however, it is not compatible at all. Now I have spent over $100 for an item I cannot use. I would return the item, however having done that once before, my refund covered less that the shipping costs and none of the cost of the item. Maybe I can sell it on eBay...
