Works great
I do guitar repair and this clamp is absolutely essential

Worked as advertised!
This clamp did exactly what I expected it to do, the price was decent, and let's face it, bridge replacement isn't cheap, but with a few YouTube self help videos and a couple of affordable tools like this and a little patience, you can save money fixing your own acoustic, unless I was working with a priceless instrument, but this c-clamp worked fine for my project.

Perfect
I watched a couple YouTube videos on how to do a bridge re-glue... therefore, I can now consider myself an expert on this subject. (Isn’t that how it works?) I used this C-clamp along with a wooden bridge clamp, and now my 12-string is back in working order.

Good Deal
Just to let everyone know, I ordered 4 of these clamps and none have the rough casting problem that was reported previously. Maybe they got the word from the other guy's reviews and tightened up quality control. The only down side I see from these clamps is that the plastic knob and pad aren;t the best quality I'm seen. I will be carefull not to let anything impact the plastic parts becuase they seem like they could be likely candidates for cracking the plastic. Six inches is measured from the deepest interior depth of the clamp to the center of the white plastic clamping pad. Max inside width is 2 1/8". The open clearance with the screw fully retracted is 1 5/8".

Lightweight
Plastic cap on screwdown is very poorly made and falls off of screwdown theads.

Needs modification to function properly
The bridge lifted on an older 12 string acoustic guitar....I purchased this clamp to assist a bridge clamp in insuring even clamping pressure....I had to modify the clamp by removing the slippery plastic cap on the threaded shaft and drilling an indentation in my bridge clamp for centering...also filed smooth the stationary part of the clamp and glued on a 3/4" block of soft wood for better spacing and non slippage....end result...it worked but could have been better engineered...

Serviceable clamps, not the best effort in quality
Someone else has noted the rough casting parting line appearance, and overall roughness of the clamp makes this seem less than ideal. One of my three clamps I ordered is noticeably warped, as if it had not been fully solidified before being pushed out of the molding machine. The overall grayness and grainy metal seems like it’s recycled aluminum plus who knows what else. They are serviceable, but some tuning up will be needed, especially the fixed bearing surface where the adjustable clamp pad meets. It’s not flat at all, has a rounded shape with a rough parting line thru the middle. These are price point clamps, yes, and less $$ than other sellers, and I don’t need them everyday. I’ll tune up what needs to be, and call it good. Usual outcome for price point Chinese stuff.

Better than handy in the shop, an investment to also care for.
I have more than one of these clamps. in more than one purchase, and hope to get more. I own many styles, in sets; and VALUE these. They have worked together in my most secure bench, and also store well among other clamps; usually at least near the closet, better on and over the rail for my lab coat. Very handy, more of the is not a problem, and you do need to know. Good Clamp. buy HERE.

Not bad, but needs finishing!
This deep reach clamp looks good, until you take it out the packet and it feels awful! The reason is it was cast, threaded and put in the packet! They did not take the time to sand the exterior of the fine rough casting surface so it claws at your fingers whenever you touch it! I took a foam sanding block to it and then washed it, it is now smooth and feels nice to pick up and work with, likewise the clamping face on the casting was rough and uneven, so I filed that to as near to level as I could and smoothed the sharp corners, now it’s a useful tool, it’s drawbacks are; 6 inches of reach only applies to the center area of about 3/4 of an inch wide, in practice only 4 1/2 inches is available at full width of the clamp. Also the clamp bolts soft nylon face is very small and needs to be bigger to match that of the fixed surface (the one I filed flatter) Overall not a bad tool, but either it should be cheaper or finished better in my opinion. Be prepared to do as I did if you buy one or live with it as is and use gloves when handling it, the uneven clamping surface may still cause you issues, depending on how well your particular one was cast .

dont waste your money
i bought this to do some bridge repair work on one of my guitars but the clamp can't be used, major design flaw. It will not work on any guitars where the guitar neck over laps the sound hole by even a fraction of an inch. Even if the sound hole is free of observation, the clamp has very, very tight fit to be put into place to use. The reach to clamp is dead on, no róom to reach farther. The depth is to narrow to try and manoeuvre under the brace under the top close to the sound hole.

Not the best but good enough
The casting is rough as expected in this price range. It doesn't really affect much except the bottom contact area. That was rough and uneven necessitating taking a file to the mold line to smooth it out. Even after that, it was not suitable to use on a good wood finish like a guitar so I glued a piece of hard felt to the surface. Now it's safe and usable. The screw works alright if a bit loose in the threads, but it seems to hold OK and the plastic contact end moves easily to accommodate irregular surfaces. I would not buy this for professional use, but for a one-off or occasional use tool it's just fine.

Bubble gum toy quality
Took a chance on this purchase. Bubble gum toy quality! Horrible craftsmanship with jagged aluminum protrusions along the frame edges (had to file them down before using in order not to damage what I was repairing). The clamp fixed jaw was way out of square (gets worse when you screw the clamp down with any amount of pressure) Useless as a clamp. Big waste of time and money IMO.

Great for guitar repair
Worked great to re-glue on a guitar bridge. This is not heavy duty but did the job and I would buy again for light to medium jobs.
