Cool design but ultimately not for me
I bought a variety of Coleman lunchboxes to determine which I like best. I need to carry my lunch + snacks in a car or backpack through hot and humid locations. I have no complaints about the durability of this bag, but its design falls short on a few points. The bottle sleeve is great in theory but tends to knock it off balance unless the main compartment is equally weighted. And the bag already had a hard time standing upright unless it was fully filled, with something boxy and solid at the bottom. You need to pack it in a way that balances the weight and shape of its contents, which is far more thought than most people want to put into packing their lunch. The hook closure enables quick access and is relatively secure, allowing you to stuff it slightly fuller or pack irregular items. It also means the bag will never insulate as efficiently as a bag with a zippered or sealed closure. If you're in hot, humid or dry climates, this will be a dealbreaker. It wouldn't be a big deal if I were using solely to commute to somewhere I could put it directly into a refrigerator. Again, not a bad bag but I'd only use it for car-to-office, and not anywhere where I'd need it to independently insulate my food for a given time.

Love this cooler
Took this cooler to an outdoor concert in 90 degree heat and it worked great keeping things cold. Also the wheels maneuvered perfectly thru grass, sand, up stairs, etc. The retractable handle was perfect for strapping my chair to for walking to the perfect spot.

Pretty Solid
I have gone through numerous “less expensive” backpack coolers that have all promised to be leakproof and so far this is the best one. I don’t use it enough to justify spending $200-$400 for ones that truly are 100% leakproof. Also it seems those backpacks are very rigid and bulky. This Coleman is just right when it comes to feature and price. Keeps drinks cool enough for the day and is as leakproof as possible in this price point (I don’t get some reviewers that get upset when the cooler isn’t leakproof when you turn it upside down and it leaks through zipper). I prefer using ice over ice packs since I can get more into the cooler and then just add ice on top and let it fall into those nooks and crannies. Overall I’m very happy with this backpack cooler!

was not the size i wanted too small
I tried to order a previous ordered item they said no longer avilable try this one, so I ordered this one and when it came it was much smaller with no plastic liner in it! I cant use this one at all!

excellent light weight leak proof backpack cooler
First off, this cooler is not spill proof, it is leak proof. It does not leak or sweat through the body of the cooler. If you are using ice instead of ice packs, as the ice melts and water accumulates in the bottom of the cooler, it can leak through the zipper if it is tipper over. I knew that going is so no big deal. This cooler has everything I wanted; light weight, leak proof, plenty of storage pockets for smaller items, a molded durable bottom and, a bunge strap system for lugging around a hoodies, towels, etc. This is not a $300 Yeti style backpack cooler meant for extended trips out in the wild. This is however a perfect backpack cooler for a day's use. We take it out on the boat with us for the day and absolutely love it. It is easy to access, stands up straight, is leak proof and super easy to carry around. Buy one, you won't regret it.

Really sturdy and stands up well to daily use
I bought this for my middle school boy. He wanted a lunch sack that resembled a traditional brown bag in design and wouldn’t hold a bento box. (Which apparently is very uncool if your in middle school) Being a typical middle school boy he throws this bag around and pays little attention to where or what he sets it on. It still looks good as new, does not fade and is not fraying. It also seems heavily insulated and keeps things cold quite well. Would recommend

Fine for picnics, not for hikes
I found the backpack very uncomfortable for hikes over a half mile. It sits low on the back and the chest strap does little to hold it in position to be comfortable. I have not tested the length of time for ice packs. I got it for walking to the farmers market and back. It is not comfortable for that kind of walk. It might work for a short picnic walk, but not a longer hike. I would not purchase again. I will use it for small grocery runs, but likely not as a backpack.
