*Please read entire review, thank you* I am a long time user of halogen convection ovens. I've owned five of them over the last thirteen years. They are convenient and easy to use. However, they don't last long. They burn out quickly. I've never had one last longer than four years. I am happy they have an extended warranty now. That would have been nice to have with past ovens. So when my Deni oven decided to die on me I had to buy something quickly and cheaply. I bought this Classic Cuisine which fit the bill. First off, when I added it to my cart, it was only $50. When I checked out it had magically gone up past $58. (The warranty was $5 but had also gone up to $7.) Which is highly irksome, but Amazon prices flucuate, so I didn't complain much over the difference. It only took three days for it to arrive. I was really excited. I bought 2 pounds of thin cut pork chops to test it and try it out. Got it home, took it out of the box and found that three of the items were not there. I did not get the flat pan, the slotted steam/fry pan, or the short rack. I only got the tall rack, the tongs, and the lid holder. I'm kinda mad over that. I could not find the option anywhere in my order or in the app to contact the seller about this, but I will eventually do so. I either want the pans free or a partial refund. If you are going to buy something, you should get ALL the items advertised..???? Now, as to how it worked. Setting it up was fast and easy. I did as the instructions said, wiped the bowl clean, plugged in the unit, and burned off that nasty burning plastic smell and preheated the unit. I put my pork chops in a small pan and set the oven to 375° as suggested, and set the timer for an hour. First off, the light and heating elements switch on and off constantly, about every 20 seconds. Very annoying, but I can ignore it. About 40 minutes had passed and my pork chops were still white and mostly raw, so I turned the oven up to 475° I checked on it every 20 minutes and finally when they started turning brown I flipped them and continued to cook them on the other side. I chopped a cup of red potatoes, half a cup of carrots, and half a cup of sweet potatoes. When the pork chops were well done, I removed them and added the veggies in the pan. I cooked those until done and slightly browned. It took me 2 hours 48 minutes to cook the pork chops, and 1 hour 22 minutes to cook the veggies. Which is very, very slow for such a small amount of food. It did however, get the job done. Each oven varies. This one cooks slowly, is made in China, is 1200 watts, and is cheaper made than others on the market. I bought the extended warranty, so if this oven craps out anytime soon, I can get it replaced. I always suggest buying the warranty.. In the long run it can save you money and time. Even though it had the negative stuff, I have it 3 stars. Which is probably a good enough rating for this oven. Although, with the missing items I could have given it a one star, but I wanted to be fair on how the oven itself worked. It's an ok oven. It does what It needs to do, albeit slowly. It didn't overheat my outlet and the plug never got too hot to touch. Which is a big bonus. I travel alot, I am in an RV, so the lower wattage was important. It didn't blow my breaker as some higher watt ovens have. I will continue to use it and if anything changes, I will post an update. I hope this more detailed review has been helpful to anyone interested in this item.
