I use this in my car and it works well even though it is plugged in under the center console lid which closes on the wire. Shows no sign of wear and works flawlessly.

Quality is great.

I needed to replace a cable on our cats favorite Lazer light cat toy. The original cat toy was no longer sold, so I ordered this one. I have purchased several of Amazon's Double braided cabels which have proven to be well made and long lasting. My cats are happy with the purchase because they have their Lazer light working again. I will continue to use Amazon Double braided cables because they work very well and are not over priced.

I prefer braided charger cords. They are more flexible and I think they last longer. Love length.

Damaged charging port of my phone

This product damaged my phone's charging port now it has become very difficult to charge, I have to set my phone at an angle to charge it, I'm a student and I cannot afford to buy a new phone now????????????

Lastest about 8 months

Usually if a USB cable broke, I wouldn't bother writing a review, but given how sturdy looking and feeling this cable is, I feel it's necessary. The cable is nylon braided and quite thick, but does bend nicely and retains bends which can be quite handy (if, for example, you're trying to get it into a weird angle behind a desk). I used this cable for connecting an Xbox controller to a gaming desktop PC in my living room, rarely being unplugged and the cable covered over with a rug. However after 8 months or so it simply stopped working, after testing it seems like it only makes a connection if the cable by the micro-B end is pushed downwards (I should stress, not the connector itself, the cable just past the rubber sheath). There is no visible damage to the nylon braiding so the damage must be internal to the cable. Now if this was the part running along the floor that might be understandable, but the part closest to the controller that has had minimal stress, not very impressive. Unfortunate but cheap enough to not worry too much about.

lasts 2 years at most, and according to amazon that is normal acceptable lifespan for it. i bought 3 AmazonBasics usb cables over different times. first became loose after 18 months and now only works if held down. 2nd is still going strong, and was shortest in length. 3rd became loose and stopped working unless held down after 2months. according to amazon 2 years is an acceptable lifespan for this product so they told me to talk to the manufacturer. here's a clue, the manufacturer of AmazonBasics cable is surprise surprise amazon themselves. so i get back to them. they apologise, agree to refund. 5 minutes later they say ignore the previous email, 2 years is an acceptable lifespan for a usb cable and refuse. so my advice don't buy AmazonBasics products. amazon won't stand by them. p.s. i offered to return the original cable to amazon, so their wouldn't be any doubt over the issue throughout the entire conversation.

Feels very sturdy but is quite a stiff cable

I use this cable to charge my wireless mouse, sometimes though I have to charge while I'm using it. It's probably not the most ideal cable for that scenario as it's quite a stiff cable. That however could be seen as a good thing depending on your application. It's got a bit of heft to it so feels good quality. If you're looking for a phone charger or perhaps something you leave plugged in this would be perfect. For a mouse though just note its stiffness. I'd recommend it for applications other than mouse charging.

Quality cable as expected from AmazonBasics. Don’t let the brand disorientate your opinion on these products, they’re well built and great for the price. This specific cable features a varied selection of colours, all being braided with a premium feel. Compared to similar products, if you’re looking for a genuine, reliable cable then I would highly suggest this one. One small downside to AmazonBasic products however is there limited stock. Only a few colour variations are available as of me writing this review. This is most likely to change overtime, be patient.
