Buzz with dimmer
There is a faint but noticeable buzz when used with a dimmer switch which I noticed it immediately after installing it. Not going to return because I have fixtures without dimmer switches. Like other reviews, they are brighter than halogen equivalent. I waffled on 2700° or 3000° bulbs, I went with 3k° which I am regretting, should have stayed with the 2.7k°. Again, I have a fixture where I want more light so that is where they will live. The Phillips GU10 LED bulbs do not buzz with the same zwave wall dimmer. One bulb was DOA, so was a Phillips bulb.

Great MR16 LED… solid brightness… but still not flawless.
I have tried a bunch of different LED MR16s over the last several years… most without success and most just aren’t bright enough and many are just not reliable. Longevity with a lot of them is frankly no more than halogen and sometimes they just do funny stuff…. Blinking, buzzing, etc. Which just defeats the purpose of paying for LEDs. I have probably used 25-35 of these Amazons MR16s so far (about a year into using them) and I have found them pretty solid (the best of have found so far). Brightness is better than many others I have used, I like the color temp and so far they have been pretty reliable. However, I just had my first bulb start blinking/flashing on occasion… sometimes it works, sometimes it started flashing on and off every few seconds. And I have been using it for probably less than a year. Personally, I have not found ANY MR16 LEDs that work without issues, but these are the best I have found so far with this level of brightness. So far I give them pretty solid rating, but if I see more failures, my rating will obviously go down.

Some of These Bulbs Flicker
I've installed these in a kitchen track-lighting system. The light fixtures have rose-colored glass lampshades which are normally prettily lit by the semi-transparent reflector in a GU 5.3 halogen bulb. Firstly, these LED bulbs do not have a semi-transparent reflector, so the lampshade is dark, not lit. This was expected, based on the photos of the bulb. Secondly, these bulbs are slightly longer than halogens, thus protrude slightly from the lampshades. Therefore, they do not look quite as refined as a halogen bulb in this particular fixture. Also, this bulb is a little heavier than a halogen, so it might slip out of an old, worn fixture that relies on friction to hold the bulb by the 2 electrical pins. Thirdly, some of these bulbs have a random flicker when the dimmer is cranked all the way up. It's very weird because all 6 bulbs are on the same 12V DC dimmer, and not all of them flicker. Turning the dimmer down to the 3/4 position solves the flicker without much of an impact to the brightness. This may be due to older dimmer technology supplying more than 12V, which can cause the bulb to overheat and throttle back the brightness. Aside from these issues, the bulb design looks nicer than many others, they are plenty bright, have a wide and even light distribution, dim well enough, and the "Warm White" color is slightly whiter than the original halogen bulbs. Not bad, but not perfect.

Slightly larger form factor could be a problem
These are nice and bright, but are lightly taller/longer than traditional MR16s. I had to modify the fixture to get the retaining covers to fit. Made install a but of a pain.

A little whiter than the previous batch…
I bought a set of these lights from a different vendor. They were a nice color and brightness. Of course, you can never find the same vendor again (not available any more) and so you end up buying what you think are the same lights. But unfortunately, they’re not quite the same color (a little more white), and therefore not quite the same brightness, and don’t dim the same way. This is no judgement on these lights which are fine in and of themselves, but it’s a judgement on the industry which can not get its act together by producing homogeneous lights.

Good price, good delivery, decent colour. Dimmable? Not so much.
The lights are bright & white, but I wouldn't call them "warm". At least they didn't have a discernible blue cast to my eye. A much bigger problem is that they barely dim at all before turning completely off. I used them with a universal LED/Halogen/Incandescent dimmer switch from HomeSeer (WD100+), which is a high-quality product. Fine for use with an ordinary (non-dimmer) switch, though.

No problems.... works great!
I was concerned reading some reviews where they indicated their bulbs did not dim and/or was flickering. I didn't have any of these issues. These bulbs are brighter than my equivalent halogens. They don't dim as low as the regular bulbs but is more than 50% for me. This make sense to me as the bulbs are brighter so I don't expect them to get as dim. In our household we don't dim them that low anyways. Going to replace all our bulbs to these led.. Good buy.. good value!

Toss out your old Halogen 12v transformer
Halogen light 12v transformer is not compatible with LED lights. It will cause LED lights to overheat, flicker or not working at all (may work at first and then fail). Do your self a favor by replacing the old transformer with LED compatible transformer. I learned this lesson after trying different brand of LED lights with the old transformer. Youtube has good info on this topic.

Problematic bulbs
I bought a bunch of these bulbs in a couple of lots. I thought the price was good, the form factor perfect (in prior years, I found some mr16 LED bulbs were oversized), and the quality and warmth of the light was fine. I used them to replace numerous halogen bulbs in recessed fixtures. The fixtures have transformers, not electronic power supplies. After several months of frequent use, I have had three of these bulbs (out of 20) fail. In each case, the bulb failure has fried the secondary side of the transformer in the fixture, and the combination of those events have fried the Lutron MLV dimmer switch on the circuit also. This has necessitated replacing fixtures in the ceiling, the bulbs and the dimmers. The electrical supply people I deal with say they have not seen this happening broadly, and I don't find much mention of it on the web. I don't have conclusive proof that the fault is the bulb, but as I say it has happened at different times on three different circuits, and it's not something I have experienced before (or since, after replacing these bulbs with more expensive Philips bulbs). I'm afraid to use these now.

Great replacement for 50w Halogen bulbs
I had over 50 halogen ceiling floodlights in my home that I've replaced with these LED bulbs. I did a lot of research to ensure I was replacing the halogens with lights that had the same color and brightness, and that were fully dimmable. To test them I mixed 4 of these LED's in a room with 8 lights and compared them at different lighting levels and time of day. I asked my wife if she could pick out the LED's and when she couldn't I knew these would be perfect. I am really happy with these and highly recommend if you're looking for a halogen replacement. I chose the warm white color and its exactly the same as the halogen. I will say they don't have the dimmable range of the halogen bulbs even though I have LED rated dimmers that are adjustable for different lights. The end result after some tuning is they won't go as dim and hold the light without flickering. As much as this was one of the most important criteria for me - I can live with the difference. All told, these are great lights - you won't be disappointed if you're switching from halogen.
