Nice choice for ebike,versitile.
Weight not such an issue for ebike. Good quality! (Kryptonite was jewelry by comparison) Love versatility of choker ring, essentially doubles effective length. OnGuard Pittbull U-lock could lock rear (3") wheel, but no room for a sign post. Seems a good compromise. Any stronger and thief would likely choose to cut off my entire bumper, or rack. Not much I can do about that.

Expensive, heavy, secure
This is one heck of a lock. Most bike locks are pretty much just deterrents against a casual ride-off. Cable locks and even many U-Locks can be defeated with bolt cutters in virtually no time. You can stop a random person from grabbing your bike and riding off with those, but you won't even slow down a serious thief. Even smaller chain locks suffer from the same problem. Common wisdom goes that you can get through under 10mm chains with bolt cutters. This chain, though, is 10mm. It *should* be virtually impervious to hand tools unless a thief is obscenely patient and willing to chip away at it for a long time. The only practical way to defeat this lock in a reasonable time should be power tools, like an angle grinder. Unless you have a very special bike indeed that's unlikely to be deployed against you. There are some thoughtful design elements which make this a good choice: - I love the "noose" style chain. This allows you to get a much greater usable length out of a chain, since you can loop the chain around an object and just U-Lock to the frame. In designs without a noose, you have to get both ends back to the U-Lock, which makes their effective length much shorter. Due to the length advantage of the noose you can get this chain through both wheels in most situations. - The U-Lock is reversible, no fiddling getting it oriented properly as with cheaper U-locks. - The wrapping around the chain prevents it from damaging objects and makes it less cumbersome to carry. - They sure give you a lot of keys. 5 I think? There are a few downsides here; one, it's a bit too long for an average sized person to use like a belt when securing it with the U-lock, because the nylon sleeve prevents you from locking far enough down the chain. I exposed an extra link and can use it as a belt just barely; I've got a 32" waist. Hope I stop losing weight :) Another way to use it as a belt is, potentially, to just wrap it around you like a noose and let the U-lock dangle / attach to a garment / rest in a pocket. I haven't quite figured out a way to make this really work. You can alternately wrap it around the top tube. You can get creative and figure out a way to keep it from being too loose. It should go without saying that this lock is ungodly heavy. The item description is wrong. It's about 8 pounds. I guess that's the only negative thing I can say about this lock: it's probably too much for most people. I purchased it specifically for riding with the family, so I can lock up several bikes with a single lock. I decided it was worth getting something actually secure for that purpose. We'll see I guess :)

This is the one if heavy's ok
**Update: I sent it back. It may be secure, but it's just too heavy and difficult to use for me. Turns out the newer Onguard u-locks also have the laser cut keys that may be difficult to pick, so I bought this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005YPKBWI/ And some of this to change the color: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NQ10XRU/ ** Original review: After my family has had four bikes stolen over the last few years, and really loving my current ride, I comparison shopped chains and u-locks and padlocks for hours and hours over the last few months. I am very satisfied with this purchase. Here's my relevant criteria. Required: Less than $75: check ($68 prime when I bought) High-quality hardened chain: check Tough lock: check No videos of people easily defeating/picking lock online: check Disc detainer or tougher lock type: check (they're laser cut keys, see pic) Nice to have: Noose or cinch link: check 2-3ft chain for weight saving: NOT checked At least one of the guys that pick locks on youtube has said that you can pretty well judge a popular lock by seeing how many vids there are of people defeating it online. I think it was BosnianBill. He makes some great videos. Just make sure to lock to something permanent, right? No signs that the bike can be lifted above, no scaffolding that can be taken apart, no thin chain link fence, no wood or trees that can be cut, etc. Trees cut? Yeah, there's video. Not being a fan of the colors I plan to seam rip the yellow embroidered lettering off of the chain sleeve and buy some heat shrink wire wrap stuff to change the color of the lock to blue. I'll update this review if my bike gets taken with this on it, so if no update then it's working great!

Best Lock!
A beast! It's pretty big and heavy but I feel really secure with this lock and chain. When I carry the lock I usually put it over one shoulder. What I love the most about it is that it is long enough to go through both tires. I was worried that it wouldn't fit both tires but it is! I looked at a lot of chain locks, but I'm really glad I chose this one since it seems to be less expensive than other chain locks and just as secure and you have the capability to lock it in 2 different ways. I also researched a lot online about different chain locks and securing your bike, but all locks are breakable, they just delay the theft. One of the most important things is to not lock your bike in the same location every night because they steal bikes that are regularly left overnight. Also don't leave a bike outside that you're worried is going to be stealed.

Perfect for ebike use
Easy to use and very secure for my ebike. While it is heavy and carrying it around on a regular bike would be tough, that’s not an issue on my ebike. Highly recommend.

Great for locking up bike to different size posts
Heavy duty! Flexible chain. Great for locking up bike to different size posts, trees, etc..Also using it to lock up scaffolding to the side of our house. Very secure. Loop noose design is great for tightening chain to smaller size. Less room/leverage for thieves to manipulate. Heavy, but I have a big basket so no problem. I took off a star because the battery for the torch light key was dead. Amazon have me a credit to buy new batteries (which are slightly complicated to change). Works fine now.

On guard Mastiff lock chain
I've brought a few top brand locks in my time, This is the best I've ever brought. Looks very good security and the 5 keys is just great as I've lost a few of these and boy they are hard to replace. It's heavy but that's the price you pay if you want to stand a chance to keep your belongings. It's a good price you get a good lock. July 2019 Update still using this lock and still got my bike. All works as new.

Excellent heavy duty.
Excellent heavy duty. Heavier and bigger than expected. Looks less chunkier on photos but not complaining! Lock is a bit wierd to use like my other one where you have to have key to release lock and key has to stay in lock till you lock again and then can pull out the key.

hefty 130cm noose chain 10mm with hefty 14mm mini u. Almost 7lbs but it will get both wheels and frame plus a concrete pole. (noose a wheel to frame wrap pole to chain through wheel and mini u the frame) nice key action vs that other big brand. Could be cut down shorter/lighter if you wish. This will likely survive most big cdn cities as hundreds of others bikes nearby are never locked up this good. Chains like this aren't light but they are extremely difficult for thieves so don't kid yourself that 10mm is too thin vs 14mm u lock.
