Fabulous and consistent

I purchased this and returned it because it was significantly less expensive for the identical unit elsewhere, price matching wasn't offered and the knobs holding the platform that sets the distance from the edge of the paper to the holes were striped upon arrival. But the replacement unit works and it is fabulous! HIGHLY Recommended. Here's why: 1. It really makes a difference being able to set the depth distance from the edge of the paper to the holes so as to avoid putting holes in text! 2. It uses a solid bar to hold paper in place so there will never be misaligned holes! It also adjusts for paper length, but I haven't needed this feature yet. But I'm glad it's there and it is simple to use this feature. I want to thank previous reviewers for mentioning that when the number of pages gets higher, the machine needs to be placed on a lower table so that one can use their body weight to punch the holes. Otherwise the bar takes an awkward amount of upper body strength to push down, especially for me, a 5" tall female. If you're taller you won't have an issue. This comes with experience, but you'll know the machine has punched all the way through the paper when it has one final push beyond what you would think finished the job. And, it won't release the paper until the handle is brought completely to the top position. No short cuts or grabbing papers out of the machine. Bring the handle all the way to the top. Finally, it is not huge which is nice. It fits pretty much anywhere when not in use. Just as an aside, I did speak to the manufacturer prior to returning the unit and was told that they would "do me the favor" of sending replacement knobs, as if receiving a unit with stripped knobs was acceptable to the manufacturer and as if it wasn't under warranty of fitness to do the job it was advertised for and intended for during the first 24 hours of receipt. Horrible customer service but an otherwise excellent product.

Great time saver.

I commonly need to have 80-120 pages 3 hole punched and this is a life saver. I have a jogger to square and align the stack of papers and uniformly punches the holes.

Does a great job!

When I first used this I had some trouble punching through much paper, but I found that with a few uses it went better. I also found that it really helped to have it on a lower table (mine’s on a table where the height is a little above my knees). This gave me ability to get more leverage and pressure on the lever. Maybe for a guy this wouldn’t be as important. A year and a half later, I still enjoy using the punch. It easily goes through 250 sheets of paper, although I think 300 sheets is a stretch. If the pages are stapled, it’s less because they don’t lay flat. I work in a school copy room and use it at least once a week. It has been worth the money and I would recommend this item.

Amazing product!!!

I have been looking everywhere for a way to hole punch catalogs. I am in sales and regularly use my catalogs to show products. I purchased a catalog holder but it was a pain to have to tear my catalogs apart and 3 hole punch them 20 pages at a time. I finally saw this one that said it would do 300 pages!!! My catalog has 735 very thin pages. I tried it this morning and it was "no big deal" for this. It went through the pages like butter! I would definitely purchase this product again!!! Thank you to the developer of this. I was trying to even find someplace I could send it to ... to get this done. Love it!

Works as Advertised

Another reviewer said that she couldn't get it to punch through even 50 pages, but as another reviewer says, it's all about the leverage. Not much force is needed to do it either. I use it to punch through catalogs...haven't had the opportunity to try 300 pages though. My only issues are that it is HUGE, so it's hard to store, and there were no instructions included. The only instructions for use are on a sticker, on the platform of the puncher, but they are so small, you need a magnifying glass. I was also led to believe that there were larger dies for bigger holes included, but this looks like an accessory.

Can't even handle 50 pages - don't waste your money

We were excited about this hole puncher but it was a big disappointment. Difficult to press down and never gets it right, even when only punching 30-50 pages at a time. Do not waste your money on this guy.

Good tool.

The only thing I'm not thrilled with is it's difficult to tell when you are through all the sheets. I haven't tried 300 sheets, and don't plan to. Easy to break them up into 50-75 packs. But it sure beats doing 20 sheets at a time.

Life changing

I hesitated ordering for a few months,WHY ? I didn't think it was going to work. I was wrong! its fabulous Highly recommend. 3 hole punches composition books with No problem.

Diseño pobre.

Los agujeros están corridos hacia abajo. Para perforar como se espera hay que poner el frente de las hojas en la parte inferior. El ajuste de distancia de la perforación a la orilla del papel no tiene seguro y se mueve relativamente fácil, esto da como resultado perforaciones a diferentes distancias de la orilla del papel.
