Decent grill, but doesn't last
I bought this grill in 2014 for camping and everyday use. I've kept it stored inside. It's actually a Kuumo 125 rebranded as Camco. Since 2014, the ignitor stopped working (they all do on every grill I've owned, so no big deal), but I've also had to replace the heat deflector twice due to rust, and also had to replace the regulator once. I was going to repair it again, but now the bottom is starting to rust out. I don't know how people use these grills on boats.......it would fall apart due to rust.

Manufacturer needs some design changes - Then its great
This is a nice looking grill and has a decent amount of power but wont sear as well as I was hoping in stock form. It cooks fairly evenly for such a simple design. There are some problems with the design that I'll try to address my best. FIRST - The cut-out on the right side where the burner comes into the grill is too large for the burner to catch the small notches and stay aligned. When my grill was new I removed the heat deflector and the burner was almost 45 degrees rotated. The small support bolt on the left will not be enough to hold the burner straight. My fix was a custom stainless bracket that goes from the bottom of the grill, around the support bolt, and is bent over the top of the burner to hold it level. Second - The IGNITOR is a common failure and it's easy to see why. The ignitor electrode is placed too far to the left inside the grill and exposed to several inches of flame. My fix was cutting a notch next to the burner opening and a corresponding notch in the side box that holds the ignition. I was then able to adjust the ignitor so that it is sparking between the first two gas holes on the burner. The notches I cut are not visible with the grill put back together and it should have been done this way at the factory. Third - A few minor issues really. The side box with the Ignitor button and regulator on it gets extremely hot. My fix: I spaced it off the side of the grill with two small washers on each screw and it stays much cooler. This might also help the ignition system last longer. Also the drip tray was difficult to reinstall and fell out easily when moving the grill. I cut the leading edges on the tray and the grill where it installs to a 45 degree angle and it works much better. I then bent some bumps into the tray so when its slid almost all the way in they catch an give some resistance to help stop it from falling out so easy. Another thing I did was replaced the grate with "grillgrates" from another website. They are superior for grilling and reversible for flat top style grilling. I have three pieces of grate and can do any combination from all grill surface to all flat surface. I even cut down their "Grate Tool" so it fits inside the grill for traveling. In conclusion, it is sad that the maker of this grill seems to be cutting a few corners on an otherwise very good grill. I'm glad it was only one hundo on lightning deal with the carry bag. Mine is now the ultimate portable grilling machine and I can't ask for more, took a few weeks modifying it though.

It works as a grill
I bought this because it was compact and would fit into an RV compartment. I read the reviews. Using a 1lb propane tank it was able to do a good job with hot dogs and burgers during the"cyclone bomb" 14 degrees 20mph gusts. You have to keep watch on the thermometer as the wind gusts can put out the flame but opening the lid and hitti g the lighter lit easily.will take 6 burgers. It took 12 saussages. I wanted to run it off the rv propane tank but the takeoff is after the regulator and cant use in series with 2 regulators so i bought a campco gas valve and was able to rig it to work off the Rv propane. So far does what i want. Small but works. Like all grills a pain to clean.

Very Disappointed
For several years, I used a portable Weber gas grill when camping. It was great. But it was starting to show its age and I decided to buy a new grill for my travel trailer. I wanted something stainless, so I didn't have to worry about rusting. I also wanted something very small and portable. I bought this grill with high hopes that it would serve me well for many years. But after less than one year, it is done. Pros: 1. Looks pretty when new. 2. Small, compact, and lightweight. 3. Unlike many other portable grills, the cover is hinged. Cons: 1. The igniter failed to work within about a week or two of use. "No big deal," I thought, "as I can just use a lighter." Well, lighting it became less and less fun as it took many tries to get it going. 2. The flame would often blow out if there was any kind of wind. I couldn't trust it to stay lit. 3. Gas regulation was terrible. Instead of low, med, high, and off, the burner more accurately ran at on, off. I couldn't get it hot enough. I felt that it needed a higher setting in order to generate enough heat for searing. And if I did decide to turn it down, it would go out. 4. Although the outside held up, the inside of the grill began to seriously fall apart. The most significant problem is the wire grill grate itself. The welds must be very poor as individual wires became to separate from the grate. First one. Then another. Then several. So I was left with a grate with big gaps in it. Food could fall through. And, to make matters worse, the grate wire began to rust badly even though it was never exposed to rain. The burners also rusted. The inside just looked a mess. The stainless enclosure also discolored badly. When I buy another portable grill, I'd like it to be black so it hides discoloration from heat. Today, I was going to try to fix it up. But it is in such bad shape, and has been such a disappointment for multiple reasons, that I just dumped it off in the metal bin at the local recycling depot.

Buy a bendable long nose lighter.
Love the BBQ, looks really nice and works well. It's small and compact. Can BBQ around 4 chicken legs at once. The temperature knob is a little off but you have to fiddle around and it works. I would suggest buying a bendable long nose lighter as it works better than the lighter built in. The propane really is flush against the BBQ lighter so I'm going to buy a hose extender so it doesn't strain where you screw on the propane. It bends it a little because it's so tight.

Leaks!
Cooks good so far used only 3 times. BUT... the igniter works like crap have to use lighter already and the regulator leaks actually catches fire. Green bottle wont screw on easily without bending it away from side of ignitor housing. Unless doing it from underneath while on a pedestal stand. So used it with remote hose. But like I said it leaks kinda scary. Looking into replacing reg. Like the size of it for boat and like I said seems to cock well so far. But can only give 3 stars because of quality and design issues.

Not a good bbq !!
A small breeze can blow out propane, the grease never goes into tray below but leaks out the 4 legs , the settings are not enough difference in temperature, once it’s hot it’s hard to bring down ! Have had this over a year of use !! Not satisfied especially the propane going out , hard to see flames ! The only way you find out your flame is not lit is the temp gauge goes lower , then you know the flame is not there and raw gas keeps going! Happens 2-3 times each bbq session !????????‍♂️

Great little bbq, good quality
Very nice quality, a little smaller then I thought. But I'm happy with the quality

Camco should fix this design
Okay I like the BBQ, but hate a few things. First problem is how the fit is for attaching a small propane bottle poor design. Second the folding legs they don't lock in place and should. I also think the lid should be insulated it gets extremely hot. The grease tray falls out why? There should be a better latch for the lid and handle to carry the BBQ. And last the temp control it only has low and every other setting is incinerate. Why can't someone design a portable BBQ that is worth anything? As for the purchase and shipping it was perfect.
