Great little jar!
I got this little jar to use as a sugar bowl. I like that it has a seal so it keeps out moisture. Easy to use, and it looks way better than a plastic container. I would have loved to have a red lid on it, but the blue is very pretty.

Perfect for sourdough starter
The media could not be loaded. These are the perfect size for sourdough starter. If you are just learning how to keep starter don’t latch this. Keep it open in case your starter is super active. Mine currently are not and that’s why I have them closed. The blue top adds a little fun to this jar and I use them for gifting starter to my friends. I really like this size because it is not too small or too big. Very sturdy jars that are much nicer, thicker, and look better then then ball jars.

the perfect jar for my sourdough starter
I was looking for something to keep my starter in as I have jumped onto the bandwagon! This is the perfect size jar. I'm using 100% hydration starter and mixing 113 g each of flour, water, and starter and when it's inactive (in the fridge) it takes up about 1/3 of the jar. When I'm getting it ready for a bake and I feed it, climbs up to about the top of the square portion of the jar, just below the neck, so it's absolutely the perfect size. The rubber gasket comes separately so you can either attach it for an airtight seal or not use it at all. I set it aside so the jar isn't airtight when shut. Definitely recommended if you're looking for something for your starter.

Great little jars
Exactly as advertised fairly heavy on thickness lids fit well clasps are well made with good solid stainless. I purchased them for sourdough starter and all though it works great they are difficult to clean. So for this I would not recommend them. For canning or storage very good.

Have several of the Bormioli Rocco 25-1/4 ounce jars unfortunately received this one chipped. Otherwise would be 5 stars.
