2 Quart Glass Jar

Got these to store my dried goods. So far they are working very well. They seal well and I love that they are square so they don't take up or waste much space like round ones would. I also love that they are made in the USA.

Frustrating Shipping/Customer Service but Great jars.

Update 4/21: refund processed! Frustrating but finally got through. Found and Re-purchased the jars locally to avoid shipping and refund problems. Great jars. UPDATE 4/12: reduced to one star. Jars sent back 3/31. Refund still not processed. The jars are elegant and sturdy, I also have some purchased several years ago. Happy to see the design and quality is the same Less than 5 stars due to shipping issues. First, received only one (of the set of six); then, received a set with one broken and two with hairline cracks. The box was slightly banged up on one corner. Perhaps the box was dropped or fell just right to cause the damage. The jars are so nice and thick It'd take it hitting the ground just right to break. Am currently waiting to receive refund so I can try to replace the order. Could never get through to a person at AH for customer service, via provided methods - web form (404 error) or phone.

Best We Can Find So Far

These are "ALMOST" perfect. Pros 1) Square they are square which makes optimizing space/storage ideal 2) Bamboo lid 3) Glass, thick sturdy 4) Clear glass so easy to see and identify contents 5) Stackable Cons 1) Very expensive 2) Plastic Gasket 3) Lid not larger than glass body For us its all about space saving, visibility, and healthier materials. These are great for dry pantry items, (sugar, salt, whole spices etc.) that are used frequently say turn over would 12 months or sooner, but ideally 1 - 3 months, in our humble opinion. We are among those who want as little plastic in our lives as possible. However, most dry food stuffs are packaged in plastic, even organic food items, which makes no sense to us, but we cant stress over what we cant change. So since the plastic gasket which doesnt appear it will contact the food as it sits outside of the mouth of the canister is doable considering we have not found anything that comes close to the features of this canister. However, if Anchor could make the gasket out of silicone or make it an option for consumers to buy replacement gaskets made of silicone that would be ideal. On that note, our only concern is that this plastic gasket might crack and degrade over time as the plastic is very brittle/rigid. Since we plan to use this for items that have a quick turnover and would not suffer if the seal isnt perfect. Also we dont have pest problems so that is not an issue for us. Worse case scenario we could use the canisters without the plastic gasket if replacement gaskets were not available or cost prohibitive. However, if our situation/circumstances ever changed and keeping pests out was a factor, this would not be any option at all. Also we would convert our entire pantry to these canisters if it had silicone gaskets, the price was reasonable/competitive, lid was a solid piece of wood with no glue and the lids were slightly a bit larger to prevent them from hitting each other. As a work around, we will place some sort of buffer, strip of wood, in our pantry cabinet shelves to provide distance between rows of these canisters. However, because of the issues we need to be very conservative in how many we are going to buy. In the meantime we will continue to look for the ultimate canister that meets all our needs.

The price, the look with the lite wood tops is perfect for my decor they are great for candy, coffee, sugar ect.

Definitely not stackable.

Pretty but definitely not stackable. Very precarious. One of the lids had a split starting, between bamboo pieces, as well. Not all the way through, but still.

Sturdy, durable, long life.

I use these for dried beans, sugar, etc in the pantry. I bought 4 about 5 years ago. Love them so much that I bought more.

Happy, purchasing more.

Ordered 8, arrived nicely with no damage in two separate Anchor Hocking boxes. While they are not air tight (almost) I believe they will be fine to store pasta and rice. Happy with quality, and like the square shape that will allow more more in pantry. I will be ordering more for rice and bean storage.

Quality product but arrived damaged/used looking

I've purchased these before with good success. They last long, they're good quality glass, and they fit nicely in my pantry. However on my latest order I noticed a few problems. First, the bamboo lids had some type of white residue (glue?) stuck on them. There was a lot. The picture I attached is after I cleaned, scrubbed, and washed them. This was found on several of the jars ordered. The next problem was one of the inlay plastics (that helps seal with suction) was totally warped and bended, making closing the jar very difficult. Picture attached. I have 10 of these jars and overall I like them, however this latest order has been very disappointing.
