Not Heavy Duty or Commercial Quality. Minimum reinforcement and soft material
I compared the Blue Torrent BS58068 25' hose with a Harbor Freight brand purchased a few years ago. The Blue Torrent is much lighter weight and has minimum reinforcement which can be seen when rolled up and compared side by side. The close ups of the reinforcement shows how much more the Harbor Freight brand on the left has. I would not recommend using the thinner Blue Torrent hose if you have a higher pressure gas powered pump. I'm using a 1/6th HP electric submersible pump and even it creates quite some pressure on the Harbor Freight hose. I'm considering returning the Blue Torrent.

Sturdy.
This product is very sturdy. The plastic is thicker and it doesn't tear after several uses like other plastic backwash hoses that I've used. This is a repeat purchase. It does have a smell for a while.

Good Quality but chemically coated
Good Quality - it's not just rubber/vinyl but also thread (not threaded). It better and thicker quality than what you find in big box stores but you pay the difference. Worth it. It's not a thick as a fire hose but good. I havent had it very long but I am pleased. only downside - it stinks. I had it in my garage and I had to move it into my shed smell is overwhelming - trust me on this.

Blue sturdy backwash hose
It will definitely outlast what I had before. A little on the heavy side and has a chemical smell that hasn’t gone away. But the price was hard to beat

Great hose! What a difference from the standard varieties!
Last year I drained the pool with a pool store backwash hose, and I spent most of my time trying to keep the hose from flapping all over the place and cutting off sections that tore open. THIS year I tried this hose and it was perfect in size and had enough heft to stay in place by itself. No rips or tears. Really worked great and was not much more than I would have had to pay at the pool store for a cheezy one. This hose will likely last for many years. Highly recommended.

Great Pool Hose!
This is a great hose - very sturdy! I got tired of cheaper pool hoses getting holes in them due to the high water pressure. Only downside is that the hose has an oily smell but it is definitely worth putting up with since it appears that this hose will last a long time!

High Quality Hose Better Than Pool or Box Stores
I haven't had this that long, but it is definitely much higher quality as the type you buy from the pool or box stores. This thing has to last years. The only issue I've had was my own stupidity. We backwashed with it and rolled it back up (on a reel), but I forgot to switch back to filter. So all the water went through the hose, building up pressure on the reel, until finally ripping through the hose. This was the next morning when the pump turned on, so no one noticed until the afternoon. I will happily purchase another.

This hose is reinforced with what looks like a mesh netting, which accounts for the increased expense. It does make the hose thicker and heavier than any other backwash hose I have ever purchased. I have only used it once, but it performed as required. That is the reason for 5 stars. Hopefully, it will perform as well over time. As someone mentioned in a previous review, there is a VERY strong chemical (petroleum?) smell to the hose. It is outside in use this summer, so hopefully the odor will dissipate over time.

Does not play well with Intex
If you want to use this with a Intex sand filter, you'll need a adapter (B) to go from 1.5" to 1.25", this does not fit otherwise (not even close). Started to fall apart on my first use with metal clamps (not included). For this price it's a hard pass from me.

Qualité decevante
Ce produit à percer au premier usage. Ne vaut pas le prix payer. J'ai du le retourner.
