Easy to use and it saved the use of my pool cleaning hose
Pool hose ends crack. They leak. With this product, you cut off the old cuff, attach this cuff, and keep using the hose. This one is 1 1/4 inch end which fit my blue pool cleaning hose nicely. I could not see the reason to throw the hose out when the rest of it was still good. This product let me fix the cracked cuff end. Not much else to say. For a few dollars, the hose is back in use. Yes, you have to apply some pressure inward as you rotate the cut hose end but it goes in. You can add some blue adhesive to keep it in place for sure but I found I did not need that. If it comes off, I will let it dry then put it back on with the adhesive. To be clear, this is the pool cleaning hose that goes to a skimmer, and then to a triangular plastic brush that you have attached to a pole. Great stuff

Like a New Hose!
Like most pool owners, my vacuum hose had seen better days. I had one end attached to the vacuum head with a radiator clamp, and I was using duct tape to keep the other end snug in the skimmer. I'd finally decided to replace the entire hose when I cam across these. My old hose is like a new hose now! Replacement was simple. I clamped each end in my bench vise and used a hack saw to make a straight cut behind the old cuff, and then I simply screwed the new ones on. But this is very important - you need to screw the cuffs on COUNTERCLOCKWISE (i.e., opposite of a normal thread).

What a Great Find!
Was ready to order a new vacuum hose and actually had one in my shopping cart and was ready to hit "buy". Before I did I noticed this Cuff was available. Took 30 seconds to cut off broken cuff with a hacksaw and screw on (counter-clockwise) this one. Saved me $40 by not purchasing a new hose as nothing except the broker cuff was wrong with my existing vacuum hose which is 20 years old. I keep it stored out of the sunlight which may be why the hose is still working like new. Highly recommended!

I Opted To Purchase These Cuffs As Opposed To Buying A New Hose; So Far It's Good To Go!
The media could not be loaded. My hose cuffs cracked so I looked round Amazon to find a hose replacement. I came across these adaptors and decided to give them a try. They were inexpensive, compared to replacing the whole hose. I ordered (2) hose cuffs. I was impressed with how easily they screwed into my hose. I vacuumed the pool right after I installed the new hose cuffs and everything worked well for my needs. These cuffs stay stationary and do not rotate so some may have issues with their hose twisting. I didn't have any issues but wanted to add that bit of info. So far I am happy with my decision and if anything changes in the near future, I will update this review. have an existing hose which is in good shape but the hose cuff ends fell apart - gave this a try before spending $45-$65 on a new hose ... easy install (screwed on as advertised) but may require strong glue down the road since it has a tendency to spin-off the hose - otherwise a great value for a fraction of the price of a new hose

Just what I needed!
I am a new pool owner. Have been around them a lot, but never owned my own. When I purchased the new home with a pool, I knew I was getting into some unknown territory... but Amazon has saved me yet again! This hose cuff was just what I needed to repair the hose left by the previous homeowner. It was extremely easy to put on, is of high quality, and works exactly as you would expect. The packaging was a little worse for the wear (it looked as if it may have been a return item, had scotch tape around the plastic cover), but there was no damage to the part and I had it installed and working in minutes. If you are in need of a hose cuff of these dimensions I would feel confident in recommending this one! It is great!

Don't buy a new hose!!!!
Don't waste your $ on a new pool hose if the actual hose is in good shape, but the cuffs are bad. We bought a house with a pool, and the equipment (and pool) wasn't well cared for. The cuffs on both ends were cracked and would pop off the pool vacuum, causing a LOT of frustration. I was seconds away from buying a whole new hose when I stumbled across this. Bought 2. It took about 10 seconds each to use a razor knife to cut off the old cuffs and screw on the new ones. Ready to use immediately. No glue, no silicone.
