It worked great, and delivered on the same day!

Used once, it took approximately 45 mins or so to charge a 20v battery as advertised, definitely better than 6 hrs charging time from the original stocked wall unit that came with the battery. This allows multiple charges and finishes the job on the same day.

Failed after a few months

One of the two batteries that I purchased stopped charging after just a few months. Since I have a total of four batteries, this one was seldom used. I’m guessing that it failed after about 15 uses. The charger works with all other batteries. I am very disappointed sing Black and Decker is usually very reliable. Update: I contacted Black and Decker on a Saturday via email. They responded immediately and they are sending a replacement batter. Outstanding customer service. I have upgraded my rating to a 5 based on their great response.

Holds the charge

This battery holds a charge for a very long time. I have a couple of Black and Decker products and I wanted to make sure I had a backup. Haven't needed it so far.

Doesn't give a full charge

When this charger indicates a fully charged battery, after placing the battery on my stick vacuum it only indicates 2 lights (3 lights on the vacuum would be full charge). After placing the battery on my smaller and slower Black and Decker charger 3 lights go on, indicating a full charge. Didn't do this the first couple of mionths I owned this. Too late to return unfortunately. Going back to the slower charger in future.

Good little charger

I have the Black & Decker Matrix set of tools and that came with a dinky little charger. I'm not fussed about the charging speed (I just keep this set in my truck), I am worried about the durability of that charger with the flimsy cord. This was a nice peace of mind purchase that gave me a charger I could keep in my garage to charge the batteries if needed. Two knocks against this: [1] the charging cable comes out of the side of the unit and [2] there's no way to [easily] hang this on a wall, so it's going to take up counterspace.

LIfesaver for recharging batteries

This charger is fantastic. Dropping a star because it shouldn't be an extra you have to buy separately. The sad little charger they give you with the tools that takes 8 hours to charge a battery should be outlawed. At least now I can work off one battery and by the time it dies the other is nearly recharged.

It Works

Docked it a star only because the charge time for a nearly discharged 1.5 ah battery was 6 min over expected (nit picking, but I like things to be advertised properly). Definetely still worth the headache of using the standard charger. For a fast charger it is very reasonable. So if you have multiple or quick draining tools, do yourself a favour and pick one up.

Very Fast Charger

This charger really is fast. It consistently charges fully depleted 2.0Ah batteries in under forty minutes; 1.5Ah batteries charge as quickly. This unit is a much better option than the regular charger that takes hours. It is reliable and easy to use.

It is 110V not 220V, the seller contacted before sending the product but the same was not mentioned in the product details. Nevertheless it is original product and works fine
