Good Drill Bit

I used this drill bit for my garage dry wall. They worked perfectly with my cordless Black and Decker drill. This drill bit is very thick. I'm confident it'll last a long time compared to my thinner drill bits.

Bought to still spot welds

Worked great for drilling out spot welds to do some repairs on a car. It's a little large diameter for this task but it worked well. I will buy again if this one wears out

Exactly what I needed

Exactly what I needed and as described. Was able to add wheels to an armchair, which I'm sitting in now as I write this.

Poor Choice for Sheet Metal

I had been led to believe this bit would drill cleanly through sheet metal without a pilot hole. If you want to achieve a clean hole you would do better to save your money for a Blaircutter or Blair Spotweld cutter. To have a chance of a clean hole with B&D Bullet Tip, you must make a sheath and adjust it so it is even with the lagging edge of the cutting lip. If it is adjusted just right and does not slip, it can prevent the bit from ripping into the hole and making a mess. The time and cost of making this sheath make the B&D Bullet Tip drill bit a poor choice for drilling a clean hole in sheat metal.

I guess there is a difference between a bullet drill ...

I guess there is a difference between a bullet drill bit and a brad point bit. It was not sharp enough to drill the hole where I started. Was not what I was looking for.

Does what it should

I ultimately didn't have to use this bit for my TV mount, but it is good to have and I'm sure I will be using it in the future.

Product dimensions are inaccurate

The drill bit looks fine - I didn't actually use it though. My frustration is that I needed a 6 inch (or longer) drill bit, and this one is advertised as 7.8 inches. In reality, that's not the length of the bit, but the length of the cardboard package it come in. Extremely misleading. I'm sure I can return it, but I haven't gotten a chance to yet. It really made my project much more difficult than it should have been.

Solid bit

I drilled through metal and wood in my drill press and it worked as it is supposed to. Pretty accurately sized as well, so I'm happy with the purchase
