Life expectancy

I have bought so many of these lights over time. I use them on all size tanks. Depending on the color (brighter holds vs dark purple), it can light up to a 10 gallon tank really. Then I have one on either side of my 20 gallon and they’re perfect for the whole tank.

Good for those wanting a clasping LED light with adjustable stand for a smaller aquarium

For those who have a Nanotank in which there are no replacement LED hood lights and now have to go without a hood and are looking for an LED light, will want to check out Tetra COLORFUSION’s LED Bar. Featuring five multi-colored plus white LED lights, there are 15 color buttons and has a clip that makes it easy to clasp on to frameless tanks or framed tanks up to .75 inches thick. It also has an easily adjustable arm to help bend things in place. This is fine for smaller tanks, it’s not super bright for live plant growing but for those want an LED light for their smaller fish tank, it’s not bad, but the thing is at $25, there are other LED lights that are more powerful, have more LED lights that may be more suitable. It’s a competitive market out there for LED lights and the Tetra COLORFUSION’s LED Bar is good. But please do your research because at that same price, you may find LED lights that may offer more bang for the buck! But if you want a light for a smaller tank that has its own adjustable stand and is clasping, then the Tetra COLORFUSION’s LED Bar is worth checking out!

Is a USB plug or you will need an adapter, very dim.

I was offered the opportunity to review this TETRA COLORFUSION LED lightbar for up to 4 gallons and being as I have a few smaller fish tanks I thought I would try it out. At time of review light runs $24.99. It is a very small light as one would expect for such applications and will be great for fish who don't like things super bright. The light easily clips onto the tank and the remote is the only way to operate the light (which in my opinion is an issue for things like this, once gone, totally useless). It has many color options and will even cyle through all the colors. I wish it were a little brighter myself, it's barely bright enough to read by in the white light setting. For my purposes and reason for 4 stars is that it has a usb plug. Some of us have outlets that have those but for those of us who don't you'll need an adapter- the product page doesn't mention this, and you would only know that if you look at the pictures of the box. I hadn't looked closely. Be aware!

Perfect for Desk Size Tanks, My Fish loves It!

I have a small .75 gallon tank for a single betta fish. Before you condemn me for how small the betta tank is, read his history: So, my kids got a "free" betta at the pet store 2 years ago. Poor guy, I don't know if he just lived in that tiny cup for his whole life or what, but his body is permanently curved in a C shape and he can't swim very well in deep water. Tried him in a 3.5 gallon (like our other bettas), then a 2 gallon, and then even 1-gallon goldfish tank, but he was struggling to swim. I got this so I can just sit on leaves and relax. He's doing much better now that he's in less water and doesn't have to struggle to swim. Put in a tiny filter and heater. He's happy just sitting on his plant blowing bubbles. He's happy, so I'm happy. We need to do more to make sure bettas are treated better in pet stores, though. The one thing that's been hard to find for our betta tank is a good light. I had a small book light on his tank, but it needed small expensive batteries all the time and it was a pale depressing yellow color. Got this and it puts just enough light in the tank for our fish to see and for us to watch him. You can change the color with the included remote, but I prefer the plain white color. Second, I like the blue lighting. My betta actually seems to be more lively with the brighter light. He can see his food better and is always watching us from the corner of the tank :-). The clip is easy to attach to the side of the tank, and fits over the hood and the side of the tank. Because his tank is so small, I put the light high above so it wasn't too bright for him, but you can easily adjust the light for your needs. You do need a USB port, but I have tons of those around the house. This has been a great addition to our fish's tank and I'm grateful I found this. Hope you found this review helpful!

Excellent USB Light for our 3 Gallon Cube Tank

I have a small 3 Gallon Cube tank in our bedroom and this is a perfect LED light for the tank, it almost looks like it was designed for this tank (my tank matches the tank shown on the LED box as well) as there is enough gap on the tank lid at the back for the clip to fit. - The LED neck is flexible which allows you to adjust the light's height and angle to your preference - The lamp full RGB lighting which allows you to change the desired color of your tank - But perhaps the best part of this lamp is when its in the White light mode , all the LED's for Red Blue and Green also are on at various strengths - this gives this light an almost UV light effect and brings out the deep colors of my goldfish - It included remote works well as long as you point it directly at the lamp and has lots of option for choosing colors, cycles brightness etc - It is powered by a USB -A port , which our table lamp had so it was very convenient for us Overall this is a great lamp for smaller fish tanks with RGB lighting that brings out the vibrant colors of your fish and the added convenience of a remote. Highly recommended

Great lighting options, but dim.

This is a great little unit and very convenient to use. USB cord length was ample. Only gripe is the leds aren't very bright at highest setting. The dimming/ brightness incremental options are barely noticeable in fact. I tried it over a 1ft cube and it wasn't bright enough. Over a 20cm diameter cyli drical tank it's much better. Definitely stick to 5 liters or less for best lighting effect.
