Fit's a 2016 prius....with an ** asterisk **
Before I get into the model specifics here's some of my general insight. 1. Seems to be a high-quality product. Well constructed and sturdy. The two top brackets that attaches to the car are NOT coated with anything other than paint. I think I'm going to have to come up with something to help protect my car's paint where it attached to the area just above my back window. Maybe some tape or some of the rubberized spray you can find at local hardware stores. 2. The only area that come in to contact WITH THE BIKE ITSELF are the two rubber brackets that the top bar of the frame sit on. I'm not sure if that rubber will FULLY protect the bike below the bar. It's not very soft and I think I'm going to have to wrap by crossmember with something to protect the finish on my bike. The brackets that tighten around and hold the bike to the carrier is nothing more that a manual pull strap. While it seems to hold the bike well I don't really care for the strap mechanism and is another reason I need to come up with a wrap for my frame. It's made of plastic and although it's not metal, it looks like it could do some damage to the frame if going on a longer trip. 3. The metal bars that comprise most of this unit seem to be more that strong enough to handle the weight of two bikes. 4. It holds the bike securely and is pretty quick to attach to the vehicle. Now the vehicle specifics. I read different reviews and couldn't determine if this rack would work with my Prius. The Mfg. web site said the only one that would fit was the 3 bike model. (another $40+ dollars) Others, who have tried to use this claimed success. Well, I claim success as well with an asterisk. Why?? The bottom bracket that rests on the back of the car is adjustable up and down. When I tried full extension down part of the metal bar came way to close to the painted plastic/fiberglass area just above the license plate. I adjusted the bar above that area but, like others mentioned, it rides on the Prius decal....but just a little bit. I don't think this is a deal breaker and this part of the car won't be damaged. For one...It's one of the anchor points that has a very soft and pliable foam covering. And, it only touches the outer edges of the decal. For the initial install I attached the bottom strap to the bottom of the car even though there is no metal down there to attach it to. (a bit flimsy) I plan on using one of the alternate methods described in the instructions that utilizes the bottom of the hatchback instead of the underside of the car. This change should also allow me to open by hatchback without taking the rack off of my car. I think. ;-) (I hope) I have a few trips planned and I'll post an update down the road and adjust my rating if need be. I think this is a very solid rack and it will provide years of reliable service. Cheers.

You may need an accessory
Due to some bikes not having a cross bar at the top, you may need an additional accessory to properly mount certain bikes. This is a easy mount and is light weight.

My weird assembling hack (for pulling that metal bar into place)
The media could not be loaded. I found it near impossible to pull the metal bar into its socket because it has such intense resistance (i'm not sure how everyone else is managing it). Here's a video of how I did it (sorry, I don't have the moment of success on film, it was impossible to get it in there AND record at the same time). But the point is, it worked, without injury. Don't know how I would've done it otherwise. Video summary: Instead of trying to pry the silver bar UP into the frame, I instead pushed the framed down (I used the latch gap in my car) while the silver bar is being propped up on a higher surface (i used a cutting board). That way, you're using your whole body weight to push down on the frame while the silver bar is pulled upward by the cutting board/higher surface, then sliding the bar in, rather than pulling up with just your hand/arm and risking finger injuries (which the instructions warn about). The good news, is that once it's in there, it is IN there. Very sturdy.

Would recommend to someone who needs a simple bike rack
Overall I would recommend this product, the bike rack was fairly easy to assemble, I had some problems in the beginning and it took longer than expected. The product comes in one piece and you basically unfold it and then you have to stick the metal pieces into the holes, the problem is it was so hard to squeeze the metal piece into the hole I almost need a superhuman strength! It took forever and I really hurt my hands doing it, there has to be a easier way to assemble this but I finally achieved the goal and assembled it myself. After I assemble day getting it on the car was for the most part pretty easy though the directions are hard to follow for assembly and set up. I looked at the pictures most of the time because the wording in the directions Wasn’t completely clear. I was so happy when I finally had it assembled! And set up! The next step was getting my bike on the rack which is pretty hard to do I didn’t realize lifting a bike it’s so heavy that high in the air, Ausel getting it on the bike rack instructions did not tell me that a male bike 29 inches would not fit on the first rack I tried and I tried and it didn’t fit, therefore I bought a bike rack that should be for two bikes but as of right now it only fits one. The straps around the bike could also be tighter it says in the directions for me to use the remaining ends to tie down the wheel, I believe the supplier or the manufacturer should have supplied extra hooks to lock down the bike tighter but I was able to get it not to bounce around and move by adding extra reinforcement with my bike chain/lock. I would still recommend this product, because it’s not that expensive and it gets the job done I’ve traveled with my bike and ridden over bumps and potholes and still lo and behold the bike is attached to the bike rack. I was concerned with the bike rack blocking my vision when backing up and parallel parking Etc, but for the most part it does not and I can still see and I can adjust the height of my bike depending on the way I will mount it. If you need a simple bike rack I would recommend buying this product.

Priced right but hard to assemble
Ultimately the product worked well, and is compact for purposes of storage when not in use. However, the video and written instructions for putting it together weren't helpful. I had to get out wrench and screwdriver. Took a lot of physical strength to maneuver the arms to click into place. VERY Annoying!!! Manufacturer needs to rethink the packaging to make it easier to put together and write better instructions

Easy to install but can be a little shaky
Easy to setup, mount and carry around but often I had to stop to secure the straps and secure the bike on a long journey. I used it on a hatchback vehicle and had frequent adjustments. On a sedan I guess it may be more secure.

Bueno

easy to install but a bit flimsy
-Sturdiness I'm pretty sure I installed correctly but it feels very flimsy without bikes on it. I guess I'll find out when my new bikes arrive. -Easy to install It is very to install as it's basically just a few clip ons. It literially takes a few minutes. -Value for money The conecept is really nice but I don't really feel safe with my bikes on it somehow :(
