Fits my PG24 DXL just fine

I ordered this for my Camp Chef PG24 DLX SMOKER. Even though I debated long and hard on whether to order this due to reading many reviews stating that people were having issues installing this on their Camp Chef and that it didn't fit I went ahead and took a chance. First thing I noticed when installing was you had to move the legs out. The holes of the shelf did not instantly line up with the holes in the legs. Also the bolts that were supplied in my opinion were too short where I could not get the flat washer and lock washer on once the bolt was inserted so I had to go to the hardware store and pick up 3 in bolts. I have attached photos of the Shelf after being installed and of the difference in size of bolts that were supplied and what I had to buy from the store. Although the shelf was very tight I'm happy with the finished result. Some comments mentioned the legs were bowed out too much after attaching the shelf but as you can see in my photos the legs are just fine and this will only add stability to the smoker.

Tight fit, adds stability to the smoker, but a little pricey.

I am extremely glad I purchased this item, along with the added storage space it actually made the unit more sturdy and easier to move. We added the side kick to our DLX 24 which made the unit even heavier. the smoker is stored under an eave from the 2nd story, so when we use it we roll it out from under and when done we roll i back. When rolling it around it is heavy and didn't feel completely secure. With this shelf installed it feels much more sturdy and safe to roll around. It is a very tight fit, I ended up loosing a couple of the upper bolts in order to knock it into place to install the bolts. Also the full price for this item seems a bit high since it is just a metal shelf with 4 bolts/nuts. I was able to purchased mine from as an amazon used/returned item at a discounted price. So that made it bearable for me to purchase.

Lower shelf for 24” MZG Camp Chef pellet grill

Installation was not easy, but once I loosened all 4 square legs on the grill this lower shelf did fit into place. Feels like a ripoff, given the $80 price, but it completes my 24” MZG camp chef pellet grill.

Must loosen the legs to fit the shelf

I bought this shelf for the Camp Chef DLX 24. It appeared to be too wide to fit, but if you loosen the two bolts at the top of each leg where they attach to the grill, the shelf will fit. Then tighten the legs after installing the shelf. The instructions do not tell you this. The shelf adds rigidity to legs and is convenient for storage.

Looks good, but not really necessary

I actually ordered this shelf BEFORE I assembled my SmokerPro DLX based on the reviews and claims that the legs aren't that stable without it (or it significantly improved the smoker's stability). While the shelf is fine and of course it's going to add some stability, I really didn't find it was necessary. Assembled without the shelf (it came a few days later), my SmokerPro DLX is perfectly stable. The legs are pre-threaded and the bolts hold them very securely to the body of the smoker. I like the look of the shelf overall, but it's an unnecessary expense IMHO even if you move your smoker around (I do not). Wish it was about an inch lower so my accessory box could fit, but I'll be finding a shorter one soon.

Great addition to a great grill

I love my camp chef pellet smoker and was excited to find this bottom shelf for it. I waited to install the shelf because I also purchased the leg set with the lockable wheels. Not only does the shelf look great, it will be able to hold an extra bag of pellets if needed. An extra bonus with the shelf is that it really made the legs more secure, not that they were real wobbly but the legs did flex a little, they are very solid now, even if I never use the shelf as intended it is worth it for the added stability of the grill now.

Poor fit. Had to fight tge install

I just installed this shelf this morning as I was putting my new smoker together. The fit was terrible. It was almost 1/2 inch too big. I did get it put together, but it was a real pain. I put it together before I tights ed the leg bolts, so it should have slid right in. Now the legs on the smoker are spread apart a little. The shelf did make the base very steady, so in the end I am very pleased. I gave it 3 stars because of the fit issue.

Smoke away - everyday.

This is the best smoker ever. Tried several others over the years, but this one will be - I am sure - my favorite. Have already smoked ribs, salmon, veggies, etc. and it does it all very superbly. Added bonus: this smoker is VERY easy to clean. The designers kept cleaning in mind when they designed this beauty! Love it - it is well worth the price.
