A great added accessory if cooking space is needed close by.
I just bought a Camp Chef Explorer for outdoor cooking andI needed some stable cooking space to hold accessory items while using the 2 burner stove. The folding side shelf set was the answer. They were very easy to install, very sturdy, enough space for ingredients, a small pan and some utensils. For larger cooking uses, you might need a separate small table but for 1 or 2 person cooking, a great addition to the camp stove. It folds tight against the burner and installed, fits easily into the stove carrying case for protection and handling. Just got into wok cooking so this whole set up works great. Great two burner stove and the added side shelf set makes outdoor cooking a solid alternative to indoor stove cooking. Highly recommend both if they fit your needs.

I just replaced an old camp chef 2 burner stove that had fallen apart from years of use. My old one came with the side tables, but the new one does not. So, I bought these. They are very sturdy, and bolted right on without much difficulty. My only question wasn't answered by the paperwork, so I don't know if these shelves are just painted or it they are powder coated. I think they are just painted, but either way they'll be really easy to clean. I thought they were a little pricey for what they are, but I'm so used to having them when I'm cooking that I just had to buy them.

these trays are a great addition to my camp chef......they come in handy when ever i need a place to put things.....and they fold up on to my camp chef and stay attached.....every time i set up my camp chef all i have to do is open them up...........

Won't work with stove windscreen without modification but very handy once installed.
I ordered the folding side shelves for our new Camp Chef Explorer Stove. The shelves arrived bent on both ends and the paint peeling where the metal was bent. As the box they were packaged in was undamaged it seems the shelves must have been bent when they were packaged at the factory. It’s easy to see why they were bent as the metal they are constructed from is very thin. It was easy to bend the pieces back into position with a pair of pliers. Just as other reviews have said, with the shelves installed, the stove windscreen won’t fit. It’s pretty annoying that they aren’t manufactured to work together from the factory but it’s an easy fix. Take a look at how the folding shelves install and note the 2 holes in the rear of the stove where the shelves pivot pin/bolt is installed. A slot will have to be cut in the bottom of the windscreen on both ends to provide clearance for the pivot bolt/pin and allow it to seat fully into the tabs on the stove. Without these slots the windscreen won’t be able to seat fully into the tabs on the stove. Without the shelves installed, install the windscreen and use something to trace the inside of the holes for the shelf pivot pin/bolt onto the windscreen. Use a square or just eyeball it and draw a straight line from the outline of the pivot hole marked on the windscreen to the bottom of the windscreen. This section will have to be cut away to make the slot for the shelf pivot pin/bolt. See picture. The metal on the windscreen is pretty thin, just like the shelves so it is easily cut. I chose to use a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder to cut it. Even an upside down “V” shaped cut done with some metal snips would work. In spite of having to modify the shelves to make them fit with the windscreen my wife and I like them. They are somewhat thin and I wouldn’t put heavy cast iron items on them but for most things they work just fine. The design could be better as having to remove the stove’s windscreen every time one folds the shelves closed to cover the stove is a bit inconvenient. I only rate them 3 out of 5 stars as they seem to have been damaged when packaged at the factory, they don’t allow you to use the stove’s windscreen without modifying it and the windscreen must be removed to fold the shelves to cover the stove.

Adds a lot more work space!
This adds so much more prep and work space to the grill, and makes the stove much more useful. I read some comments that claimed that installing these made it impossible to use the wind screen without modifications, but I did not have that problem. I also liked that you can fold it over onto the burners when not in use to create a flat storage surface on top.

nice addition
Added to my Explorer 2 burner. Fit perfectly as they came. Fold down great as a cover. Windscreen still fits great. As the shelves are so big it would be slightly better if the side support was a bit longer (would support more weight then) but they still support a decent amount of weight as is and are a very nice large size. Overall really happy with them as they were a good price from warehouse deals. Definitely makes the stove more useful.

Adecuado al uso de acuerdo a lo anunciado
Buen accesorio. Cómo casi todo lo que he comprado de camp chef tiene buena Calidad, se adecua al equipo para el q fue comprado y hace lo anunciado . Pero no le doy 5 estrellas por que como accesorio el precio es alto con relación al artículo principal para el cual se compra. Es mercadotecnia de camp chef . Como cliente reconozco la calidad de camp chef en diseño y materiales pero esperaría que la empresa se de cuenta que como cliente se siente uno manipulado a completar el equipo comprando un accesorio que cuesta más del 30% del precio pagado por el artículo para el cual se compran .

Paint chips off real easy
These shelves are made quite rugged and installed easily on my Explorer 2 burner stove. The thing that made me give them only 2 stars is that the paint chips off quite easily . I had paint chipping off while installing them. Paint chipping off as the shelves were flipped up to cover the stove and more as the shelves were opened. I now have patches of bare metal showing and I haven't even used the stove yet as everything is still new. As you can see in the photos there's red paint chips all over the frame of my stove. I have a product called Plasti Dip in an aerosol can that I will spray on these shelve to cover the bare metal and give them a weather proof rubber coating. For the price of these shelves this is unacceptable. Don't think I received a fluke set as I bought 2 sets of these shelves to put on 2 separate Explorer 2 stoves.

A must have for your utensils and food prep
it comes with two stabilizer bars, one on each side. But I had the older leg design which I did not need the bars as the shelf will just rest on the legs. An even easier install!! An absolute must have!! Oh yea, and if it scratches.....whoopty do, it's a grille lol

Side tables fit great, had to bend parts back from shipping.
would have been 5 stars but in shipping the two tabs that bolt on bent and i need to bend back. These are powder coated so will last long, was able to put some weight on them. Great extension to my 14" camp chef stove. No longer need a table close by to put my plates and utensils.
