Sturdy, confusing set up

This has been great for working out and love the stackability if you purchase more, but the instructions for how the platforms stack together were a bit confusing.

Great for Heavier People, con is assembly instructions

I like this box, and its pretty sturdy for my 270ish frame, to which I used this daily for exercises. What's not clear in the instructions is the fact that the extra board provided is meant to be used when you plan to stack multiple boxes. it helps keep the next stacked box in place when you have more than one 1 box on top of each other. It was a little tough to assemble and make sure it was kept square.

Quality Has Declined

I had already purchased an 8" and 4" box in the past and they are great. Unfortunately, when I decided to get another 8" box a couple years later I found the quality had declined significantly. The newer box I received was made of significantly lower quality plywood than before. The edges on the original boxes had all been nicely chamfered so they were rounded, the more recent box all had sharp, unfinished edges. The hardware (wood screws) on the original boxes was powder coated black to match the box, the new hardware was untreated and thinner. The original boxes all had pilot holes pre-drilled on every piece so assembly was accurate and easy, but now there are only pilot holes drilled on one piece of plywood and not into the edges of the plywood it's mating with, which means you need to clamp the pieces together to assemble them perfectly; especially since now the joints are not as precisely cut and mated as before. Disappointing compared to the original boxes, which weren't perfect, but were a pretty good deal overall.

They forgot to drill holes on some of them

I ordered 3 different sizes. I put the first one together, and it was great. It was all machine cut, so the tolerances are nice and tight. I love it. Then, I started on the next one. For each screw, there is supposed to be a large hole in the first piece of wood that the shaft of the screw slides through. Then, there is also supposed to be a smaller pilot hole in the second piece of wood that guides the screw into exactly the right place. My second and third box had zero pilot holes drilled anywhere. My friend put the second one together, not knowing that there were supposed to be pilot holes. It looks awful. The wood is all split and cracked. Nothing is lined up. I'm throwing it out. I will attempt to drill pilot holes for my third box, but it's going to be a lot of work with a jig and a drill press. It's not something that most people would be able to do on their own. Depending on how that goes, I might buy some more of these boxes, even knowing that I will need to do lots of drilling.

Be prepared to drill your own pilot holes

As several others have reported my box showed up without any pilot holes drilled. I used a 1/8” bit on the first hole and still split the plywood… moved up to a 5/32 and that was perfect for the rest of the holes. If you don’t have the tools/skills to drill straight pilot holes be prepared to gamble on a box that had the holes drilled already. If you get one without, don’t bother trying to assemble. It will crack and not align well. Once built correctly the platform is solid and is a pretty good value.

Red and black not the same

So I got two twelve inch boxes. The red one was significantly nicer to put together for a couple reasons. The screws were different, the red one came pre drilled, and it had little dowels to help line things up. The bigger issue though is that the red one is slightly taller. Not gonna be a huge problem, but I got the same size so I could do some specific stuff and this will throw it off a little bit.

No pilot holes. Updated design?

Compared to other reviews, it looks like for my particular 6 inch box, the top portion is a separate piece that you can install. This is great if you are planning to use this as a platform with drop pads to keep things level. Big issue is no pilot holes. You really do need them, especially if drilling into this type of wood. I drilled pilot holes but they were not perfect. I forgot to use a speed square or something similar. Probably would have helped lining things up a little better but the pilot holes are what's really needed. Bad quality control, good product, that's why it's a 3 star.

Good quality, responsive seller

I had an issue with my order, which caused a lot more work on my part to put the box together (6” black). However, the manufacturer was very responsive via email and we worked it out. I would buy from this company again because I feel they stand behind their products and seem to care about making their customers happy

Deadlift "platform" with silencer pads

Using the 4inch with the Yes4All silencer pads in order to pull off the ground. The 4inch box is about 4.5 in reality and with their silencer pads, at 300+ the pads compress about 1.5inches. This means with the combo of 4inch box and 6inch pads it basically balances it out. I would have preferred a better finish on the top, it's plastic not rubber.

Very cheaply constructed

I was given 3 different size screws, the wood was already chipped off, the grippy tape had a large spot that was smooth/missing the honeycomb design. The assembly instructions are also virtually non existent. The screws are meant to be put in with a hex key, but the holes aren't predrilled so if you don't predrill the holes then you will definitely split the wood because it's made of pressed wood. I didn't drill one of my holes big enough and it split the wood. Thankfully, I bought this as a training platform for my 20lb dog and it's good enough for that but I wouldn't recommend a full grown adult jumping on this with any kind of force.

Wasn’t predrilled, disappointed

I bought a 6” one and it was easy to assemble and had been predrilled so it line down up nicely. When my 12” one arrived it was NOT predrilled and if you used the Allen key to try and assemble it was not a good snug fit. Ended up having to use a drill to bore out all the holes as the particle board was cracking. Would not purchase again unless it was the predrilled version.

Product does not meet expectations

The product came without an assembly guide and was not pre-drilled. Also, I could not figure out how the top panel of the box would fit into the frame. I am considering returning the product.
