Versatile workout equipment

Wasn’t too difficult to assemble, with the exception of the inner pieces. No hole to start the screw, so would have been easier for someone with more strength or maybe an electric drill. But I managed. I use it frequently and am glad I purchased it.

Very well made.

Just received my plyo box. 16x20x24 and I’m very well impressed by materials used and cut pieces. They used nice 9 layer plywood, not counting the 2 outer skins, so 11 layers all together. Finished exterior and countersink holes. Refreshing to receive a quality built product. Thanks!!

Great product! Very stable

I read the questions/reviews of other step up exercise products (plastic). The comments said they were not very sturdy above 12 inches. This box is very stable and provides an excellent step up.

Very well designed!

Great workout box! Very sturdy and has a brace inside. Good for step ups, overs, and even works well for burpees because of the handles. I prefer a bit larger and non wooden build for box jumps, but great for the other. It took a little to put together, but I even enjoyed that part of it. Very good, useful piece of equipment.

A Drill was Necessary to Assemble this Product

I bought this box when shopping for relatively budget 20x24x30 options. I read some negative reviews regarding manufacturing defects but decided to roll the dice. The experience got off to a bad start when a smaller size was delivered. Upon receipt, I decided I could make do with this variant. I tried contacting the manufacturer and so I sought a partial refund for the ~$30 difference. Their support line was hard to find and when I eventually got through, they informed me that Amazon was responsible. I had a hard time getting a live representative of Amazon but once I did they cautiously rewarded me the partial refund. Now I felt comfortable opening and assembling since I knew I wouldn't have to initiate a return. The 16x20x24" is composed of 3 outer pieces as well as 3 interlocking supports that go inside. Many of the pieces had superficial scratch damage or unsanded internally-facing edges but this doesn't really bother me for a piece of workout equipment. What did bother me was the state of the pre-drilled holes on the internal supports. I won't go into extreme detail; but, none of the holes on these pieces were usable: I had to drill three pilots in total. This really didn't bother me too much but I have done some entry-level woodworking before so I knew how to dimension the holes and align the two pieces of wood. Aside from this support snafu, the exterior pilots were well-positioned and of appropriate depth for the provided screws. There were a couple points where tightening to what I could consider reasonable resulted in uncomfortable creaking but I never observed any wood splitting. Once assembled, I stepped onto the box and felt very comfortable with it bearing my ~185lb self. I would be a little cautious using this box for explosive movements after seeing how insecure the support seems to be -- fortunately, I always planned to use this box for relatively low-impact exercises such as handstands and shoulder stands. I may update this review down-the-line to note its long-term durability and usability.

Seems to be well enough made. Lots of screws to install. I was worried about the wood splitting so I drilled some pilot holes and used a drill to install the many many screws. The instructions are 100% useless. Just a couple of small pictures and no mention of the center bracing.

Incredibly sturdy for the price and pretty good looking

Ordered this as a test because I needed boxes less high than the regular 20-24-30 for my type of training, and i didn't want to spend 400$ ont a metal frame boxe with only one depth. this one is surprisingly sturdy, elegant and compact. I just ordered 9 more to outfit my fitness studio.

You will need a drill

Great little box, but assembly is made very difficult by the hardness of the wood. The screws will not make their own hole with only an allen key to turn them. I found I had to get a cordless drill and drill pilot holes for every screw included. Box is now built but not until after injuring my index finger trying to tighten the screws with the included allen key.

Very Good Quality at a Very Good Price

Best price out there for a plyo box, and the assembly hardware is better than other brands. Also this box is finished with varnish or clear coat and will not become stained or splinter along the edges and give slivers. I am very satisfied with this product. I did have to smooth out the corners of two notches to have the pieces fit together perfectly. But this was minor and easy.
