3.2/5

42.22

Disponibile nelle larghezze 24, 26, 28 e 30 mm. Per 5 ruote.

Once I figured out how to apply, it works pretty well
It's not easy to apply right. Eventually I learned to use a heat gun on the metal rim and then pulled the tape very tight. The tape is study but I still cut it with my fingernail once. I was using it on a Mavic EN 827 which probably has a deeper center channel. Comes with enough to tape many wheels, it's a good value. Overall pleased with it. The tires inflated easy and were nearly leak free even without sealant.

Crazy Strong, But Is It the Solution?
First off, forget duct tape. This is the basic basic quantum electromagnetic binder of the universe. Impossibly strong, it has absolutely no stretch laterally or lengthwise. None. That said, if you are following the bead-to-bead recommendations of WTB, you will be hard pressed to get this to conform to the drop in the wheel where the spokes are. Extremely hard pressed. Rest assured that you will not press the center of the tape any further, unless you cut it with a fingernail. Ask me how I know. Fear not, the tire will seal. I suspect that narrower tape could be used that would just cover the spoke heads and all would be good, but hey, I was just following the directions. I've seen other techniques that seem to indicate you don't need to go edge to edge.

Worked as intended
Worked great in sealing my MTB rims up for rimless conversion.

Works great, but I have WTB TCS tires and rims
Works great, but I have WTB TCS tires and rims. Not sure if others were trying this on WTB TCS setups or not but from all my research on going tubeless, it seems to be common that certain pieces don't work well together, i.e. certain rims with certain tires or valves, etc. That's why I stuck with all WTB TCS stuff to make sure I had components that were meant to work together. Google "wtb tcs install" for a video from WTB that shows how to tape the rim and fill the tire with sealant if you are unsure of how to do it. They spell it out pretty well.

Yeah it's OK... did the job... 3 stars = OK I guess.
I've been tubeless for years now, mostly bought wheels with the tape already installed, or used the gorilla tape method. So I was kind of surprised how firm the tap was. I guess you are just supposed to have it contact the 2 edges by the bead and not wrap it into the rim valley. I've always followed the contours of the rim with the gorilla tape, so this was new to me. I would give it more stars if a little tiny sheet of "suggested" installation would come with it from WTB. Their site doesn't have much for info on how to "correctly" install either. But anyway... it works... no leaks.

First time success
Taped 2 rims for the first time. Watched a video and did it. Overlap stem hole 3-4 inches on each side. Best results unrolling~12-16", pull hard, seat evenly, repeat until done. Cut hole for stem. Go slow and steady and should come out well.

Easy install on WTB frequency rim
Installed on WTB frequency rim. 25mm internal width. This was my first ever tubeless rim tape install and did not have any problems. Tyre (Maxxis 27.5 x 2.4) installed and sealed ok, holding pressure. Used Stan's NoTubes Tubeless Valve Stem
