Best sleeping mat ever made
Ok, I do not ordinarily write reviews unless I am very impressed and this sleeping mat really impressed me. I have tried a variety of sleeping mats/sensors in the past and the single biggest problem with them all (other than this one) is that they require you to use your phone to record the sleeping data. With other mats, you need to remember to open an app on the phone and you need to store all the data on your phone, which gets very annoying after a short while. Not with this mat, the sleeping mat communicates with Withings directly over wifi and all your sleeping data is stored on their website. Your phone is just used to view the data whenever you want, you can delete the withing app from your phone and it will not erase the data. The other important thing about a sleeping sensor is the accuracy, a sleeping mat/sensor is no good if it is not accurate, and this one is meeting my accuracy standards. You do need to be careful where to put the sensor (they say under the sternum) but once you do that, then you don't need to worry about placement ever again, or even need to think about the sensor ever again. It just records your sleep every day without you ever having to think about it. This point is not to be under estimated, I have 10 years of daily weight data stored on the Withings website, because I use their weighing scale. And no, I am not giving them 5 stars just because I own their weighing scale, I would simply not bother writing a review if I was not truly impressed with the product. I am going to come back and update this review after 1 year, the true value of a good sleeping sensor is in being able to consistently produce a good measurement every day. Update after 1 month: 1. Robust: I have used it for a little bit less than 1 month now, and I have a reading from every day. This is a first for me, my previous sleeping sensors never made it so far. 2. Accuracy: Accuracy is not super good but not super bad either. If you lie still in bed and do not move, this sensor will put you down as "REM", and the other deeper sleep settings can be fooled too. I think i have to leave the bed or sit upright for it to think that i am awake, otherwise it thinks that i am asleep. If the sensor is able to measure my heartrate and i don't move much, it has me down as asleep. Not complaining to be honest, I am not sure how much better someone else can do either. 3. Speedy reading: Typically i get the results as soon as i get out of bed, within 5 mins. On a few occasions, it has take longer. Sometimes as long as 6 hours. I think the sensor tries to connect to the website, if it is not able to connect, waits for a few hours before retrying. Not sure exactly what happens in the few instances. But I have always managed to finally get a reading from the previous night, even with those delayed instances. I see a lot of negative reviews and I feel that this could be a cause of concern. When you don't see the results right away, you get nervous that the sensor could be broken. 4. Five Stars: Yes, I still give this product 5 stars despite everything. Competitors take note, this is the first time that a sleeping sensor has been able to track my sleep for as long as a month, and the data is stored safely in Withings website. I don't think any other sleeping sensor competitor can say they do as good a job, including the mighty Apple. I am afraid that making a good sleeping sensor is so hard, that people might simply think it is not worth the effort.

Very accurate, simple set up with app
I was skeptical before using first night... but this tracker had all similar sleep data for me (within about 98-99%) of another tracker I used that didn't go underneath mattress. + this tracker records heart rate and breathing patterns while sleeping which is a major bonus. Highly recommend this tracker!

Wish I did this years ago
This is superb, it helps me keep track of my sleep and identify patterns that I can then fix. Also had no idea I was a snorer till using this ????

Works great unless you use Home Assistant
The product itself works great it seems. I like it. But one glaring issue I have is due to the fact that I got this to integrate into home assistant. It does not always update in Home Assistant which is pretty annoying. The issue seems to be on Withings side as I have tried using IFTTT as well and it is also not completely reliable

Tracking a Toddler
I came across several questions on here about using this for tracking sleep for a toddler with varying answers but nothing from someone who actually tried it. We're using this for tracking a ~30 lb. 18 month old and it sort of works but only in the broadest sense. I know that it is not what this device is intended for so my rating is based entirely up on the interaction with the sleep data and not on the accuracy. For the sleep tracking, it seems that he's heavy enough to register on the sensor but not is all positions. I think as he moves around through the night, he hits some spots where it thinks he's out of bed. I've tried positions the tracking pad perpendicular to the mattress, at an angle and along the mattress. In perpendicular, which is how you'd set it up for an adult, it seems to track the heart rate the best (the graph is still all over the board but the average it generated seemed about right) but the in bed tracking is the worst. Along the bed it the exact opposite where the heart rate is worse but the in bed tracking is better. As you'd expect, the angled position splits the difference. For data tracking, its almost as if they designed it to be specifically lacking. My point of comparison is an Owlet tracking sock that my son is outgrowing. I know that a wearable is going to be way way better for tracking than any bed sensor but I really just wanted something that would let me know how he was sleeping. Mostly, I just want to know if he's going to be cranky from lack of sleep and might need a longer nap. There are a lot of things this app should be able to do easily but just can't: -Uses their general health app and doesn't give you any way to use it only for sleep tracking and not dealing with digging past all the other health stuff -Can send IFTTT triggers for being in bed or out of bed but won't display this information in the app -Can export data through IFTTT but won't let you through the app -Could easily display real time data but doesn't -Doesn't sync data consistently and doesn't allow you to manually initiate a sync -Does track naps but in a separate section with a separate graph -Doesn't give a continuous graph and instead sorts by 'last night' which gets confusing in terms of know what day you're looking at especially given the weird/random syncing -Doesn't give any option to zoom in on graphs, you just have to keep taping and hope it registers at the spot you're trying to see a time for. In the end, I've decided to keep it, hoping that it will track better as he gets bigger and at least give me some information about him getting up at night when he's older. The setup for this was very straightforward, it seems like a quality device and some of the overall data for the night is organized very nicely but the lack of basic overall data handling in the app is incredibly frustrating. A lot of these issues with a lack of real time data and status would also apply to caregivers. I'm hoping they'll address some of these things with future updates because my first experience with the device was incredibly disappointing for such an expensive device and I almost just returned it immediately.

Nice idea but poor app let's it down.
A nice idea but if you are up in the night for more than a few minutes (e.g. to look after a child) the app only counts one period of sleep and ignores the rest. When you open the app you can see that itiinitially has the whole night then changes it to just one period of sleep and cuts out the others. This is a problem Nokia have with all their devices and it should have been fixed by now.

Excellent. Best tracker yet.
I’ve had various sleep trackers, from Sense which required a simple sensor on the pillow but sadly went out of business so their cloud stopped working, and Beddit (now owned by Apple) which is actually probably better than this but there are some caveats (it requires Bluetooth and the Beddit App open). Nokia’s efforts don’t require anything complex, the sensor goes under the mattress - I have a Simba and it’s perfect. You then get into bed and that’s it, just forget about it. It tracks heart rate and sleep quality through the night and simply uses WiFi to send this to the cloud, finally being displayed in the Nokia Health app. If you have an iPhone it can then send the sleep data (but not heart rate data) to Apple Health. Your data belongs to you, and this is important. It’s not locked away like Fitbit does. In terms of accuracy, I find it really quite good. It senses bed time perfectly, and it can tell the difference between sitting on the bed and getting into bed. Sleep detection seems amazing, it’s not always sleep time when getting into bed, and the app reports time to fall asleep. Sleep duration, and depth are tracked also. Of course! Detection of waking up in the morning is good, but it can be a bit hit and miss with getting up time. I do like to laze in bed some days, which probably confuses it. It’s not quite as good as time to sleep detection, but it’s still great - but again there is nothing to do. Just get up and it’s done. It cannot be more simple. All in all, this is highly recommended. It’s excellent value for money.

Nice idea but ultimately very limited
A pad that inserts under the mattress, this tries to capture sleep patterns based on body movement. As such it seems fairly accurate when judging deep sleep and REM sleep. The graphs that are produced show quite neatly how the pattern of different sleep occurs through the night. It also claims to capture heart rate and time spent snoring. However, the big flaw is around light sleep. It cannot tell the difference between light sleep and a person simply lying (or gently tossing and turning) whilst wide awake. This of course distorts the broader patterns being measured, and renders the more accurate parts fairly pointless. Be careful what you want form this. It's not bad, just way too limited to be accurate.

Testé dans des conditions difficiles
