Light it up!
I bought this product for my feeders to see the pigs at low light and night time. This light is very bright and does what I need it to do. Outstanding product and last for hours as needed.

You can’t destroy this light. I’ve used every light on the market, and this is hands down the best !!!

I Think They Got it Right
This is a pretty cool light for only $30. I was a little surprised at the dimensions of it when I opened the box. I guess it's roughly the size of a VHS tape. Also, I was under the impression that the LEDs would illuminate out of the bottom, as if it were mounted in an upright position as the picture shows. In reality, the lights are placed on the side opposite the solar panel. This means the light needs to be mounted horizontally (when I think about it, upright would work too). No big deal there as the unit has a number of places to either use the screws provided or use your own set up. The entirety of the controls consist of an on/off switch. I've had this light for a little over a week. I thought I'd do some testing at home as I'm not able to get out to camp for a while. Initially, I stood it on a window sill inside with it turned off. I left it there for 3 or 4 days. Then I temporarily installed it about 6.5' above the ground in a spot in my back yard. Then I instructed my dog to act as a hog and try and set off the sensor. In true form, it took him 2 days to stand under the "feeder". The result was an impressive, bright, wide spreading green glow. I cannot wait to see it in its intended setting. The light stays on for some set amount of time, like 45 seconds, unless there is movement. If this thing holds up this season, I think I'll pick up 1 or 2 more.

Proof That Louisiana Hogs Can See Green Light...
Mounting and initial setup of the Wildgame Innovations Moonshine Light is a quick process. First, turn off the light and leave the light outdoors in full sun for a few days to fully recharge the battery inside. You can place the light on a feeder using the supplied screws or just zip tie the light to the feeder. A second light has been setup on a tree within the woods to alert of any approaching animals. I use live camera feeds on my deer feeders. The first night the Wildgame Innovations Moonshine Light was used there were multiple captured images and video. The video clearly shows my hogs could see the green light and it spooked them off. As time goes by, the hogs will get used to the light and revisit the feeder but my video clearly shows that hogs can see green light! Also after the first night the light did not come back on the second night. Overcast weather conditions cause the solar panel to not fully recharge the battery for the Wildgame Innovations Moonshine Light. One month later, the light is still operational and all the hogs have been removed from the forest land. The light continues to require a full day recharge if it was used frequently the night before. The light assembly itself shows no sign of wear or rain damage from being outdoors in the humid Louisiana environment. In conclusion, the Wildgame Innovations Moonshine Light is a good product if your hogs can get comfortable with seeing the green light. I have plans on purchasing more as necessary to protect my forestland from damage caused by feral hogs in Louisiana.

Great value for the money!
For the money, this deal is hard to beat. I charged the solar panel for 2 days before installing, and the deer and hogs are still getting used to the lights, but it works, and works well. The only Issue I have is that the light only stays on about 10 seconds when activated, and you'd better be ready to take a shot, but once the animals get used to the light, I suspect it will get a lot better. All in all, I'd highly recommend this product. Review one year later: Lights still working perfectly, they need no batteries, and the hogs did get used to the lights in only a few nights. I purchased other lights that require batteries, and the batteries do not last! This is the real deal. Ordered 2 more. I Highly Recommend!!!!!

Great light for hunting

light goes off in a hurry
the light is bright enough to hunt with regular scope, the detection when hung at 5ft is kind of short, the only drag is the light goes out immediately when motion stops or the critter moves 10 ft away, that isn't bad if it's an armadillo just passing through, but if an animal pauses under the light it turns off, also the range seems to be about 10-15 ft, had a deer (taller than a hog) standing 20 ft away & light never went on, that said if the light would remain on 15-20 seconds when activated this would be a much better light. update I bought 4 of these & the one that I test resulted in the above review. the other 3 have a longer range & stay on 15-25 seconds. I returned it for a replacement. update 2 had one light fill with water after a heavy dew, no rain wild game innovations has not responded to email, two calls I gave up after 25 min on hold update 3 three unanswered phone calls one unanswered email. I guess I'll throw it away. I won't do business companies with non existent customer support

Works well
I bought 2 of these and both work as designed. motion detect is good but limited to where you can point it. It need to be mounted high on something to get the most out of the light pattern. Unfortunately where I use them, there isn't anything high that is close to where I want to use them. I have a 2X4 set in the ground about 6' tall and have the light mounted to the top with long screws so I can set the light at an angle. It works very well and illuminates enough to see whats there easily. There reason for 4 stars is that you can't adjust the angle. They should make these with a swivel base separate of the solar panel, to make it really worth the money.
