Great

I ordered this to help organize the kids school uniforms. I has been great for that purpose. It is easy to assemble. I do wish it was a bit more sturdy. The kids have already torn some of the stitching on one of the shelves but it does still serve the purpose and I didn't expect it to last forever. I separate their shirts and shorts on the shelving and hang pants and jackets on the bar at the bottom. It works well for two kids and does save space.

Afraid to put a lot on

It definitely adds a lot of function to my closet but once you add a couple of things to the shelving it looks like there’s too much weight for it and that’s without putting anything on the lower hanging rack. I feel like it should be able to hold more but then again it’s only made of fabric.

No need for a dresser

I love this! I loved it so much that I purchased a second one almost immediately. I wanted to make a closet work for kid clothes. I have an almost 1 year old and a baby coming soon. With a bed, crib, changing table, and kid table/chair set, there was just no way a dresser would have fit into that room. As I’m sure any parent knows, closets aren’t ideal for kid clothes unless you have one of those fancy closet setups with all the cubbies and multi height bars. We aren’t fancy - just a shelf. I wasn’t about to put a whole bunch of onesies on hangers. This closet organizer is ideal for our situation. Different cubbies for onesies, jammies, pants, socks… and there is still a nice bar for the cute clothes that do need hung up. The fabric is sturdy and looks really nice. It is definitely well made - maybe it will make it to the college dorm years ha! It frees up the closet shelf for storing all the ‘don’t need right now, but will later’ baby paraphernalia. One thing I am most appreciative of is the swivel hooks on top. We have one of those wire slat shelves, so the swivel hooks mean that nothing is bunched or laying oddly. We got one for each kid. It sure beats trying to remember which dresser drawers have which kids clothes. No one wants to hassle with that during a nighttime blowout episode. I don’t have plans on buying this for myself or using it with adult clothing/accessories, but I think it would work pretty good for that. Get yourself that fancy closet on the cheap with this guy here! I would absolutely recommend this to a friend - especially one with space challenges.

Great Addition to my Guest Closet

I was super excited to get this item, which I am using in a guest room closet. I needed something like this because I have no dresser and I am also sharing the closet for some of my clothing. This item is great for folding clothes as well as some hanging items. Upon receipt of the item I found that there were items missing, the two plugs for the ends of the hanger bar. I reached out to Whitmor directly - they have their contact information on the packaging. To my delight their customer service team followed up with an email later the same day and confirmed they would ship me the parts I needed. The items arrived right away and I cannot be more happy with the product as well as the companies attention to their customers!

Love it, but easy to misplace parts

This is just what I was looking for to use in our pop up camper for clothes. My only complaint is the hanging hooks easily detach from the dowel, and can be easily lost if you are taking it on/off a dowel like we do. Also the rubber caps for the dowels easily come off as well. This isn't a huge deal, but the dowels then rub on the canvas as you move it which could tear the material. We will be gluing the caps on and will try to attach the hooks so they don't come off the dowels.

Game Changer!

I wish I could give this product more stars, and that I'd bought it sooner. This is the perfect way to add more functionality to your closet. The product was very easy to assemble, and exceeds my expectations.

Nicely made. Sturdy. Holds twelve sweaters

Just as pictured. Works great. I chose this one with the rod at the bottom so I wouldn't be losing rod space. I personally choose to hang gently worn pants, etc from this rod that I know I can re-wear again. If I pull something from this rod, it tells me it's been worn once and that I can get away with wearing it again before washing. I will also hang my "next days clothing" on one end because I have always, as part of a bed time routine, picked out my next days clothes to wear. In the shelves, I have folded sweaters. I also use the top where this is about 3-4 inches in space between this organizer and the rod it's hanging from. I have lots of folded things up there as well. The shelves will sag only slightly from weight. I choose not to overload them. Each cubby will hold 3 thick sweaters (thick knits, chenilles, fleece) plus one light knit dress sweater for a total of 12. I could stuff a 4th thick sweater into each cubby but it would end up breaking down the bottom panels so I only put in a 4th light knit dress sweater. Of course, it might hold less men's sweaters, but mine are plus sized so likely equal in size.

A great investment for organizing clutter

My closet and drawers were getting messy, but I didn't have space for a new dresser or any real furniture. This randomly showed up as I was scrolling, and I was on sale. It has been pretty much perfect. The instructions to put it together are clear, and honestly it only took about two minutes to get it hung up. You just have to hang the hangers and put the two pieces for the hanging rod together. The shelves are fairly sturdy - they do sag a little bit under weight but it isn't anything big. I expect cardboard to sag a little bit. I have been able to store about 20 pieces of clothing between the four cubicles and didn't even lose any closet space because my shirts fit nicely underneath. Just an excellent design. I would like to see a bit more shelf support since it seems like this won't hold up for more than a year, but for $20 I'm not going to complain. Well worth the money and much cheaper than furniture.

Space Saver - Multipurpose Closet Organizer

The closet organizer by whitmor was easy to assemble and very useful. It has 4 section for clothes with rods below to hand clothes as well. This makes it a space saver. Likes: Space saver, easy to assemble, low cost. Dislikes: Though the sections are sturdy, the overall unit does swing with a small push. Would have loved having some locking mechanism. Overall a good product and definitely worth a try.

amazing storage addition to closet

so the new dresser I bought was a little short, and I had all this extra space above that could be used, but i couldn't hang anything there or else it could sweep off whatever is on top of my dresser (kinda weird. see pics). so I looked for you know, those hang-in-the-closet-cloth-shelf things? and i honestly didn't expect to find one this square shaped, because a lot of them are just vertical. but i found this and it is so perfect!!! it's very sturdy, cardboard (or whatever) pieces keep the shelves in place and from drooping, 3 hooks distribute weight evenly, and even comes with a bottom bar to hang whatever else you have. note; the shelves are connected to the back horizontally, but not vertically. doesn't really affect anything but yeah. this is perfect if you need some extra shelves in your closet but don't want those that go alllll the way down. LOVE IT!!

perfect for tiny closet, hope quality is good

Been dreaming of having a big walk-in closet but I never have one, the trouble of small walk-in closet is it has so much wasted corners makes the storage space even smaller! I researched for a while and thought to give this rack a try, it instantly double or tripled my storage room. Everything you see from the picture used to occupy a full hanging rod and an IKEA organizer. Now it fits into one! One thing I’m not sure about is the quality, as the clothes are pretty heavy, hope it can last long. Will definitely come back for review update if I see issues.

Super handy if you want a few cubbies without having to sacrifice hanging space. It isn't made of the canvas knit material as it appears in the photo, but it's a plastic cover printed as if it's canvas. But it's sturdy enough and works well.
