IT'S ONE OF THOSE ADD-ON ITEMS, SO MAYBE IT'S BEST NOT TO EXPECT TOO MUCH
Yep, this is one those “five buck” (just over, actually, it is $5.75) items that Amazon lists as an add-on, so perhaps it is best not to expect too much from it. It does what it is supposed to do, although the flexible arm on the mirror is not that long, and I know some people might think it is a little too small, and that it could do with being a bit longer. Then again, that said, a larger, fixed, mirror, is more prone to getting scraped and/or broken when you are storing your bike in the shed, or wherever, so you have to decide what is best for you. Bear in mind, the bracket that holds the mirror onto the handlebar is made of plastic, not metal, so be careful when tightening the nut and bolt that secures it in place. That said, I like the way the nut is held captive on the bracket, so you only have to remove the bolt. From what I have seen so far, this mirror is a little wobbly in use. That is probably a function, at least in part, of the flexible arm, but it might become too annoying in the long run, causing me to swap it out for something more substantial. All in all, it does the job it is meant to, although at this early stage it is impossible to say how long it will last, so perhaps I could update this entry later with a further report.

Perfect.. I bought two
OK... I know people have dissed these mirrors, but I put 2 of them on my Iron Horse Mountain bike, and I couldnt ask for more. I mounted them below the handle bars and bent them out so I could look at both sides with just a glance. I ride on improved trails in Volcanos National Park, but to get there I ride on streets and sidewalks not to mention not so improved trails. These mirrors stay directed in the position they were placed, they do shake around, but always stay where I put them, they are light clear and large enough to see anything behind me. I thought I had made a mistake when I opened the PKG. I gave them the complete test with no easy out and they worked like I wanted. I would say, mounting them below the handlebars is the only way I could have mounted them. The brush and vines hanging around the trails would have caught on the mirrors and caused real problems. Hanging the mirrors below give my bike the look as well as the closeness I needed for my type of riding, everything in tight to the frame and out of harms way. They bend to any shape you like, and stay there even on rough trails. TRY THEM, its worth it. THX for your time

Shaky
I got this mirror because I've begun biking again at over 40, and trying to be the good dooby, I wear a bike helmet, which I find kills my ability to hear traffic behind me when I'm going over 20mph. I figured a mirror on the handlebars would be a good thing, and since I don't have a kickstand and my bike goes over onto the ground when I'm off it, I didn't want one of the mirrors that go on the end of the handlebars. What I found with this mirror is that it's very hard to get it to a position that I need to see the traffic behind me, and then even if I do, because it is on the handlebars, it by nature has to move around as the bike moves/turns. It's very easy to bump out of whack, although it does mostly stay in place if not touched. In retrospect, I think a mirror on my helmet or something might be more helpful. But for the time being, this is at least a little help.

Now I can see who's coming up behind me!
Although the mirror is inexpensive, it's really a great mirror, clear and easy to put on handlebar!

Needs to be more stable.
This is a nice mirror but jiggles so much you can't really get a good view of anything.

too small
The photo of the mirror does not convey how small it is. If you want decent field of view this is not the product for you. Although the 'snake neck' is convenient for adjusting the mirror it is so weak that the mirror jiggles and changes angle frequently, I will go with a more rigid 'metal bar' next time. It would be helpful if amazon would put measurements (such as overall lenght and mirror diameter) prominently on their posting.

Suitable but not perfect
The ends of my handle bars are too large to attach this on them so I had to put it in further. Because of this the length isn't really quite long enough. Even if I had been able to put it further out, a bit more length would have been nice. Unfortunately even at its current length it doesn't like to stay in position. A bit too flexible. I find I'm adjusting it a lot.

Vanity mirror only
Fits well but tends to wobble out of place when I hit bumps. Which means it cannot be used as a rear view type mirror. However, let's me check my vanity before I go into market. Lol

Not great
Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. I thought the flexible handle would be good for looking around, but the whole thing just jiggles around so much I ended up tucking it out of the way. I can bring it into focus when needed, but is a bit of a distraction trying to adjust and you have to hold it steady. Do not recommend.

Rétroviseur de vélo
Bras trop court.
