old washer hose connected it perfectly
I had an old black washing machine hose that worked perfectly to connect to this spray gun, and to the original pump sprayer hose where the old gun had connected. I snipped the old brass connectors off the hose and twisted it on by hand. The hose fits very tight and would never pop off by itself. With the telescoping extension, and by adjusting the spray pattern to stream, I was able to spray very far and could hit all the leaves on my crabapple tree (from a ladder), that I couldn't even get close to w/the pump sprayer's original short spray gun. By snipping the old hose right at the connectors, I preserved as much length as possible, which I think aids in spraying even further. After a few uses, the plastic stem that sticks out and serves as the water inlet, snapped off, so I went thru a lot of trouble glueing it back on w/JB Weld epoxy, and then used heat-shrinking plastic tubing to hold a couple of thin stiff metal strips from the spray gun to the hose around the stem to prevent the stem from snapping off again. So knocking off a star for this very vulnerable joint.

Extension is nice, but flimsy
The wand that came with our sprayer apparently had some water in it last winter, which froze and cracked the plastic. Easy to replace it with this one. It seems to work fine and I love the telescoping extension, which makes it easier to spray our rows of grapevines. The metal on the extension is very flimsy, however, so I'm sure its only a matter of time before it breaks or starts leaking. I know that using sturdier metal would make it heavier, so I can't entirely blame the company for manufacturing it as they did, but I'm sure there is some material they could use that would be both strong and light. ABS plastic, maybe? But then it would probably be more expensive. Sigh... Anyway, it works fine, until the inevitable day I sit on it or find some other way to accidentally break it.

Reach For The Sky
I have been using this for awhile now and although it is not as great as i would like it to be, it does work, and more importantly, it does help you get the job done. I got this to help me shoot some biological insect control into the tall gutters for mosquitos- I did it! What I didn't realize was how much that extra reach helps out for low things, like spraying around the house exterior, and also for getting inside big flower beds or unreachable areas in the garden. It saves you work, and that makes it a good product for me. What I don't like: it is a bit flimsy when extended fully- be careful not to bend it. The balance and weight when extended is not so great, so it is a little fatiguing to use for long periods. The valve lever hurts my hand after a period of time. The thing i dislike the most is the spray pattern; maybe i got a bad one, but no matter how you adjust it, the pattern is kind of irregular- not very good at either misting or a single stream. I may work on the tip and see if i can improve this. Overall, I recommend this for the uses I have covered, but only if you need the extra reach.

Great
I'm getting older and it kills my back to bend over to spray. This solved my problem. No more back aches. (From spraying anyway)

Lost your wand?
I use sprayers for my meager home garden and fruit trees, invariably the plastic body of the sprayer leaks in spring. Made in a conventional manner. These have an extendable shift sprayer that is in my humble opinion sketchy. That said, I like them as sprayers. I'm hoping they hold up.

Didn't fit until adjustment
This didn't fit my sprayer but the metal rod was the same size as mine. I ended up unscrewing the nozzle attachment on mine, added Teflon tape and an o ring to the end threads. Unscrewed the new wand from the handle, removed the white plastic insert and screwed it to the end of my wand. This worked out for me.
