Excellent accessory
This is a fantastic accessory for my Earthquake chipper/shredder. Easy to set up. The cover that goes over the main hopper does not fit quite tight. It has to fit well to create the suction for the hose for leaves. I just used duct tape, the redneck's friend, and sealed it better. I have a mulch pile for my leaves and the Earthquake does a fantastic job in shredding but feeding the leaves into the hopper is a pain. I hook up the hose, blow the leaves into a huge pile and with a rake just stand there and feed them to the hose. The suction is incredible and is so powerful that it rarely clogs. It has two feed heads but I tend to use the wide one that sits on the ground and you rake into it.

Made picking up leaves FUN
I was concerned based on many reviews indicating leaves get stuck. I have an acre lot with very mature oak, elm, maple trees. I used this with wet and dry leaves. At first, I did have some issue with the leaves clogging, but once I figured out the collar (3/4 closed) to change the suction, it worked like a charm for the rest of the leaves. This allowed me to clean up my yard in a matter of hours, not weekends. I was able to reduce the number of bags used for compost from 150 last year to 25! The only flaw is the the connection to the chipper, which is made of plastic. This is very poor design, and I will have to find a way to reinforce it for next year as the bolts tore through the plastic by the end of the season. However all said and done, I still give it 5 stars.

Useful, but small sticks will shred the cheap plastic
First, let me say that the Earthquake Chipper/Shredder works great. The hose attachment, while useful, needs some improvements. The parts seen in the picture were torn apart by small sticks that got into the hose while vacuuming up large piles of leaves. I used the product 4-5 times this season. The hose wasn’t damaged as it’s made of thicker, more flexible plastic. These parts need to be made of thicker plastic, as the attachment piece broke after the first use. My other complaint is that the attachments are very difficult to get onto the hose, and don’t stay on well. This kit was useful, but only after I added washers, tape etc. to hold it together which didn’t last. I would only recommend if the manufacturer makes the plastic thicker in the future.

You have to have reasonable expectations with a product such as this. I use it to mulch leaves and it works great. The drier the leaves the better. Sticks will cause the leaves to accumulate in the funnel and stop the flow. Keep the debri clean going into the funnel and it will turn the leaves to a fine mulch.

May be good for a few leaves, but not a full yard
We bought the first and returned it , motor burned up first night, had it replaced, and the second lasted a week before it went also.......... It is not for a large yard with lots of leaves, If you check the prior recommendations they were 10 years old, I didn't realize that when I first bought it. Apparently it was changed over the past years and not able to handle a lot of leaves. Of course we received full credit for the return, and bought another brand locally

Manage Your Expectations
Disappointed in vacuum and feed capability. Vacuum gets clogged easily so would not spend the money on it. Feed chute is small and gets clogged. If you have any moisture in your leaves whatever, count on a two person job- one feeding and one standing at the chute "stirring'" the chute with a stick.

Increased versatility
I was pleased with the product in that it works well with the chipper shredder and extends the variety of tasks I can perform with it. The fit is not completely perfect however and the instructions not entirely detailed.
