It’s light and easy to transport

It would be great if it was longer thus not as steep. I use to get my dog in and out of my SUV

Pretty much exactly as pictured.

It was for the most part exactly as pictured. Although it was a bit heavy and steep. My older dog is, so far, too afraid to use it.

Great and easy to use but needs hooks

Like others have mentioned, I wish this product had something to hook it onto the car seat or car. That being said, it's exceptionally easy to use and lightweight. I'm impressed as I expected something like this to mean my fingers would get crushed or punched every time. My favorite part is the ramp itself had a textured surface so when my old guy got halfway up to the car and froze, he didn't start sliding backwards. It's very lightweight and folds up easily and eatly.

Works fine, but could use some support

For its intended purpose, this works fine. I tested it with my weight (~150 lbs.) to ensure it would be safe. We use it for a 2020 Ford Explorer, which is probably pretty high for most usage. Our 75 lb. lab was able to make it up the ramp but with the usage of a leash for guidance. Perhaps after a few uses she'll be able to get up without a leash. I just felt the top was a bit sketchy to stay put so I had to use my hand to ensure it stays on the trunk. The only thing I wish it had were some sort lip that could hook onto the lip of the trunk and also better feeting.

I would recommend.

It came damaged. The mechanism to keep it folded was broken. But the ramp is sturdy. It supports my 40lb dog fine.

nice for getting older dogs into car or rv

The nonslip covering is not good, had to put a rubberized material as dog slipping on it.

Did not like the "non-slip" surface, it is like sand paper and dog slipped on it. Covered with rubberized mat which worked very well.

I have a 40 kilo German shepherd who is 13 years old still very active but does have arthritis and now with the use of the ramp she gets into and out the car with ease

Really pleased with this product

Really pleased with this product, bought to help my 8 yo GSD girl get up and down from the 70cm+ height boot of my Freelander. The ramp is made from hard, (I hope) durable plastic with a steel bolt through the hinge so I can't imagine will snap under the weight of my doggie (35kg). The ramp simply folds in two and is compact and light enough to shove in and out of the backseat/boot. When opened out the chunky plastic ridges act as support for the hinge so there is minimal flexing as she climbs up and down. She was so excited to see it come out of its postal box she couldn't wait to try it out. I set it up for her to climb onto the sofa first, and there was little hesitation when I asked her to use it getting into the boot of the car. I would give 6 stars if the product had a more anti-slip coating. There are 1mm deep ridges imprinted in the surface which are still a bit slippery. I got round this by ordering a harnessPetSafe EasySport Harness, Large, Black whose sewn-in handle I can grab and both steady her, and take some of her weight going up and down the ramp. The ramp and the harness together seem to be the perfect combo to save her joints. PS I might get Velcro tape and stick it to the ridges but for now, we're okay. Thanks Trixie for a very good value product as I didn't want to buy a telescopic ramp as I know how heavy and cumbersome they are.

You wouldn't want the upgraded version.

I ordered the one in the picture with a flat floor with some form of grip on it. I got the 'upgraded version' which has a ridged floor. It is made of hard plastic which gives the dog no grip so mine slipped and banged his face on it. I do think the supplier is significantly at fault here for not sending me the one I ordered and not the 'Trixie' manufacturer, although the supplier tried to justify sending me the upgrade by saying that the flat surfaced version has a stick-on base that is sharp and peels off easily.

A Godsend!

my old dog has arthritis and is too big to lift into car. put this in garden up steps for him to get used to. 2nd nature to get into car. I put a towel on ramp so he could gain purchase, better when damp. light to store and doesn't take up too much room in car. enables my old dog to have a quality of life and still come out with us. Wonderful for getting in and out of our caravan also.Cheaper than other identical products.
