Great value, broad fit range

I bought 4 of these. Would buy 4 more without hesitation. The only thing that gave me pause was that the leather pieces were tanned in India and so the leather smells bad at first because of the way they tan their leather there. Put some leather conditioner on them and set them out side your living area for a day. The little leather accent pieces are pretty. I don’t need them for the break away purpose. I do pony rides for little kiddos and needed some fresh looking halters. After the shelter in place order I needed to buy budget items. These fit the bill. One review said the leather piece that goes across the pole was too thin, I did not find that to be true with any of the ones I got. I got the mini - large size and it fit my large minis as well as my medium minus. The nose band is adjustable and the pole piece has 3 holes on each side and room to punch more holes to make it smaller or larger if needed.

It's not a bad halter...but not the best either.

It seems a bit thin, I don't care for the goat halter look it has, but if it is safe...then it's worth it.

This is not accurate fitting halter

I bought the LARGE and it fits a yearling mini... defiantly will not fit my mare and she has a small head. But other wise a cute halter and ok quality, but I have defiantly bought better halters for the same price. Will not be getting any more of these.

definitly not TOUGH

not tough! pretty wimpy halter but was a good value for the money. it did not fit my miniature horse. Had to punch some holes in it to make it bigger

Unreliable sizing, fair quality

Sizing is completely unpredictable- would not buy again. In fact, I would return this but figured I could keep it as an extra that can be banged around. Bought a "large" for my 33in Shetland pony (per advice from other reviewers because the description gives next to zero sizing info) and it is ridiculously big on her. She pulled the noseband over her nose within the first hour of wearing the halter, despite having it tightened in every way possible. The nylon parts are good quality but the leather is very thin...not necessarily a bad thing because I'd rather it break in the event that she ever got caught on anything. All in all, you get what you pay for- this was an add-on item and cost less than $7- would I buy it again, definitely not BUT it is nice to have back-up that I don't really care about losing.

Nice halter for foals

This is the smallest halter I could find for my thoroughbred colt. It was a little big on him at 2 weeks but fits him very well at 1 month. Nice quality halter. I bought the same halter in a larger size to use as he grows.

My mini said "nay"

Barely fits my class B miniature horse behind the ears. The ear strap is about 2" too short. The webbing is thinner and only medium weight- but suitable for a mini- with a break-away strap for added safety. It's decent quality for the price. Since it didn't fit my mini very well, I did some trading with a friend with a smaller mini horse. He's very pleased with this halter and uses it daily.

Good price

Nice halter for the price, real cute but the leather break a way top is super cheap, on the small size it comes with a short catch nilon strap so when the top broke the first day I replaced it with the catch strap , I just put a couple holes in it with a leather punch and used a lighter on it. It's not a break a way anymore but I can still use it and it looks good

Overall very nice little halter.

Nice little halter. Ordered large for my large mini and it fits her perfectly. Leather does seem to not be the best quality, but you get what you pay.

Excellent quality for price!

Excellent product for price! Very small though, but still was able to use it on one of my horses with a finer head and a young (3 yr old) horse. Will definitely want more of this product!

Expected the breakaway to be a tiny bit thicker. Material more like dollar-store dog-collar 'leather'. It's an OK halter for the price, will serve it's purpose in trailering; though I am not sure for how long?

I bought large abd it fits my 40 inch "mini" but could easily adjust down ti fit my 32 inch mini. The nylon and stitchinb seams strong. Its very cute
