Donkeys are hard to fit

Fits my 32” donkey perfectly! He’s going to church for Palm Sunday and be properly attired These little guys are hard to fit in horse halter. Figure 8 allowed more play in the fitting

Perfect halter for foals & very nice quality!

Love this halter!! Perfect for newborns to grow as well. Used this on my folly from the time she was born up to 3 months old. The leather is very nice quality, very adjustable, and came with an extra leather piece incase the original breaks. I will be buying these again!

Perfect for my mini mule!!

Mini mules and donkeys can be difficult to fit with a halter. If they are difficult to catch it's nice to have a leather halter that you can feel comfortable leaving it on. It comes with two crown pieces that I fastened together for the perfect fit.

Perfect halter to keep growing!

Love this halter! I have used it from when my little guy was a week old and now he is almost 3 months old. Every time he gets let out of his pen with mommy, he has to wear it and now he looks forward to being haltered. Great quality and both sides of halter adjust and it came with a second leather piece for when he gets an even bigger head to keep adjusting. Con - I would leave this on while he was turned out and as he would run around I noticed the catch rope swings around smacking him in the face, he ended up with an eye ulcer I had to treat. Luckily I noticed quickly and my husband is a veterinarian... we took the catch rope off after that incident and still look forward to using this halter as he grows. (Eye is all better and you can’t even tell it happened). Highly recommend this halter!

Best foal halter I ever bought. Quality leather and brass hardware

Really like this leather breakaway halter for new foals. It comes with one additional crown piece when the other one breaks or wears out. Having roller buckles on both sides of the crown piece make taking it on and off easy.

Great Quality

I'm always a fan of Weaver leather products. This little halter does not disappoint as it's made of high-quality leather and brass buckles. It comes with two head straps for different sized babies too. I always feel much safer if I have to leave a halter on a baby if they're wearing this style. Thanks Weaver leather!

We bought a mare and didn't know she was pregnant

I am completely new to raising a foal and I was very nervous about putting a halter on "Baby Daisy". I have a lot of Weaver leather tack and this halter is well-made and fit very well. It is great that it comes with two straps so it can fit a small baby and then bigger. At 3.5 months the halter with the bigger strap no longer fits but it was great while it fit. Daisy's mom is a 14.2 hand quarter horse if that gives you any idea of her size - no idea of baby daddy... I would buy this halter again but will never need to; this will last through a lot of babies. Just not at my place! Foals are a lot of extra work and expense but of course we love her. :-)

This is very good quality little halter

This is very good quality little halter. I love that it is soft and easy to work with. I was happy also that it fits several different size foals except a newborn. I was disappointed that it does fit very loose on the newborn's face and I couldn't adjust it to work. The catch rope is a great little addition. It really doesn't come loose or get in the way. Having two different crown pieces was also very handy and having them have two different adjustment places was a big help and made it easier to get on a foal who isn't very happy. I prefer the figure 8 halters because of the way they fit, the durability, and the safety unlike a nylon rope halter that will not break.

Great halter

Worked perfect on our foal. She ended up breaking it off so it did it’s job as well! Will be ordering more of these for our babies coming in the spring!
